At our bistro restaurant in Cambridge we're influenced by both French and British classics, presented really well and served with knowledge. We keep it simple but flavoursome so that the ingredients are the stars of the show, which are fresh and seasonal. We have a well-priced à la carte menu, a team who know their flambé from their filet and a relaxed setting that everyone can enjoy.

You'll find on hand, your Sommelier is also ready to advise, guide, match or recommend the perfect wine to pair with your dish and introduce you to new wines you may not have explored. If you’re planning a special get together with friends, family, or colleagues, why not enquire about our private dining experiences. It’s the same great Bistro du Vin dining, but in your own private dining room.

Afternoon tea is the perfect combination of sweet and savoury, although a little naughty, it’s worth every bite. Washed down with a cup of tea from the outstandingly good tea infusions created for us by Bird & Blend Teas focus on developing unique blends of tea. Why not add Champagne to mark the occasion? After all it's all about indulging... To help cater for special dietary requirements we offer three versions of afternoon tea service. As well as our standard offering, we also offer alternative menus for vegetarians/vegans and for those with gluten allergies.

Avoid this bistro at all costs I’m an Open Table VIP member and this was truly awful, I have eaten here before and stayed at the hotel but this visit was awful. The food was overcooked and barely able - the buffet had been there hours and we didn’t try it. The service was inept - Despite raising the issues and being offered a discount it just spoiled our trip to cambridge

Waitrose distracted - had to keep repeating our order! Forgot our drinks and had to ask for them again! Food took ages to arrive, and then the chips were soggy and cold.

Open Table had not sent the booking to the restaurant, despite confirming it to me, which could have been a disaster. The restaurant however were very efficient and found us a table. It was busy as it was Boxing Day. There was a good menu choice, large portions and the price was very reasonable. I was a happy customer

Ok like others they had no record of my booking. However they found me a table in a fairly empty room. Occupied by seemingly a few families with a selection of screaming children and babies who seemed to wander in from the adjacent hotel. The adjacent hotel is also where you need to go to visit the toilet and be warned, you need to navigate stairs and a final unexpected steep one on entry to the said restroom which if you are unwary will dislocate your ankle. Food adequate at most. Tired selection of starters , tasteless beef with mini roast potatoes and rather glutinous sauce. 40 minutes wait for plate to be cleared and a very cold cheese selection. There is a service charge for food and a separate service charge for drinks. I had a glass of pinot Grigio and this made a bill of 64 pounds for one. An experience to be missed and my advice is AVOID.

A bit of a disappointment. It didn't start well, arrived and they couldn't find my booking, and didn't handle that very well. Once we finally sat down we ordered but the staff didn't know the menu and had to keep asking the chef (who clearly didn't care). We went for Sunday lunch, the roasts were good but if you're not having a roast the other items were overpriced (eg Halloumi Schnitzel). The service was attentive but clearly lacking proper training and/or experience. Overall, a real shame as it has the potential, we won't be rushing back.

Service was poor. Plates for starters were left on table even after we had finished. Mains were brought out while the plates were still on the table. We had to lift the plates up so the mains could be placed on the table. Service was very slow.

Disappointing Service was slow. Food orders wrong on each course. Food came at different times. Arrogant French waiter No apologies for wrong food Food quality was average Drinks were poor and expensive No sides served with main dishes which resulted in a hefty bill. Squealing child and singing mother in a restaurant at 830pm Probably won’t bother returning sadly
