When we started Big Top Brewing Company, there were no craft breweries in the Sarasota area and we set out to fix that. We wanted to compliment Sarasota’s historical associations with The Ringling Circus, performing arts, great architecture, the best art and design schools and world renown tourism.
The best way we could do that was to craft beer that our home town can be proud of. We plan to continue the tradition of the arts and help Sarasota add beer town to its identity. Pumpkin Stiltskin Ale

Prepare for a pumpkin ale that is hauntingly good. Every year the Pumpkin Stiltskin rises from the fields and sacrifices his kin to provide the flavors of baked pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted honey, brown sugar, and fresh vanilla beans.

Our waiter was totally confused about everything we asked. He didn’t even know what rosé wine was. we asked for the check at the end and he said yes and then went to the next table and took an order of 10 people took him 25 minutes awful we had already eaten our dessert and we thought he was gonna bring over the check we asked him and he turned around and went to take that tables order another waitress saw how long we’ve been sitting there. She was super sweet and took our check. I will never go back there.

We had a very large party and Big Top took special measures to accommodate us for the evening of dueling pianos. Our service was great, food was wonderful and entertainment was OUTSTANDING! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t able to put out 4 meals at same time. One meal was held up due to frier issues. One guest ate their meal when the rest of table were finished. No apology from management. Our waiter seemed stressed. We felt rushed. We enjoyed our brews which are available at different venues.

For a brewery the food was good. Wished there were more dessert choices. Our server Janelle was excellent. One of the beers, a Pilsner, was very bitter.

Beer flights are not available. Tortilla salad had no grilled chicken - just a pile of lettuce and tortilla strips. Seats were comfortable although the sun shining through the window was blinding. Service was very good.
