    Really well created, beautifully tasting afternoon tea. Served in a 1930s art deco room, that feels like you’ve stepped back in time. Highly recommend!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea at bettys. The food was excellent and the staff looked after us and were really friendly. The accompanied pianist made the occasion more than special. Many thanks to all.

    Afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches scones & cakes washed down with a few cups of Betteys tea could be be better. The friendliest staff couldn't have looked after us better.

    An excellent experience with the ambience you would expect. Staff were lovely and helpful. Pianist was very good. I would have liked to have swapped out one of my sandwiches from the traditional afternoon tea as not everything on there was to my taste. Quality was pretty good.

    Our second time visiting and the service by Andrea was exceptional. We were made to feel valued and our requests were no bother at all. Other establishments could learn a thing or too by visiting here. Our food was delicious especially the cakes and we were very full! A must do experience when visiting York and for special occasions. We hope to visit again very soon!

    We had a fabulous time at Betty’s! The food and drinks, the service and the atmosphere were all excellent, we had a pianist playing a number of very relaxing tunes and the decor really enhanced our experience. We look forward to coming back to York to visit Betty’s again.

    Betty’s has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive. The overall customer experience is good, however the food and value for money factor is disappointing. There are no halal options which is disappointing as a venue of this caliber should accommodate to all dietary requirements. There were also no seas food options - again disappointing as most afternoon venues will always offer some form of seafood. The portions are very small, this doesn’t warrant the price we paid.
