A nice meal but the food was just ‘good’ and we thought it was incredibly expensive for what was essentially just a decent curry. We also felt rushed by the friendly staff despite there being several empty tables when we were there. It was quite busy with tourists but nothing that warranted rushing a very expensive meal. So in summary, a nice meal with a nice waiter but really not worth the expensive cost.

Although I will readily admit I am generally not a fan of Indian food, family wanted to go as we were visiting from the US and heard about the wonderful Indian cuisine in London. Family ordered the scallops for an appetizer and thought they were good but way overpriced for just two scallops ($34). The main meal was ok although I found the chicken tough to eat and the paste was very rough and almost chalky tasting. The largest disappointment was the service. We sat down and for 10 min nor one word was said to us. Finally a gentlemen brought us the menu and just told us that the main dishes weee on one page and the fixed menu on last page. Nothing about the dishes themselves. It was awkward at best. 10 more minutes went by before our waiter showed up and asked us about water. Again nothing about the menu or the dishes and said he would be back. We went nearly 25 minutes before we even had water at our table and had to repeatedly hunt down someone to fill our glasses throughout the evening. We finally ordered and waited nearly an hour for our main meal. Everyone around us was busy eating as we sat there with an empty table )they did bring out our scallops). We had no engagement by anyone on the staff although there seemed to be a ton of people running around. Finally when I got up to go to the restroom and got upset that we still don’t have our meal was it delivered piecemeal. At the end of the meal and only after I complained did 4 people in 5 min time came come over to see how things were. We just wanted to get out of there and asked for our ticket. When I was walking out I told the waiter the service was terrible. As we were walking down the stairs a manager chased me down asking if I could talk — it was too late. Our $500 meal was over and ruined. Service was terrible and you can’t make it up to us. We will never return and I don’t think they care. So many other food Indian food restaurants around — would try others first.

Well flew in from Canada to London and booked this hyped restaurant - except the ambience nothing was good , the staff was not really friendly borderline racist almost just because we asked questions and also asked questions on the bill - the chef spoke to other but not us - plus it’s a very deep hole on the pocket and it’s absolutely worthless to pay so much for such ordinary tasting food - I would recommend smaller places to eat which tastes better than over paying for these fancy places

Our dinner was outstanding. The service was impeccable, especially Edward. The kitchen was also extremely accommodating with my husbands allergies - though I do recommend giving them more of a heads up than on the day of :) We absolutely will be back the next time we’re in town.

Just a regular curry place, not worth the money or the michelin star.
