   Came here for our Anniversary/ Valentine's Day dinner and we were disappointed to say the least. The service was great for the most part but the food was extremely mediocre for the price range. For a $300 course you can definitely find a better place for Italian food. Our food was served cold and had to ask to reheat. For our appetizer we got the crab cake that was extremely fishy and the wagyu which tasted like nothing. We got the lobster ravioli and the oxtail lasagna and it was lacking flavor and heat. It seemed like our server knew we were disappointed after asking to reheat our dish nicely and with no bad taste or attitude, the service lacked a bit after that. He made great conversation with the table next to us but didn't even bother to ask us how anything was before just handing us the check. I do want to say he did offer to bring me a different appetizer but out of courtesy I respectfully declined. The ambiance was great and the romantic setting was nice for the ocassion, staff was really nice and welcoming. All in all this place definitely did not meet our standards in what an expensive dinner is but that's all personal preference. Definitely think there's better elsewhere ! Kind of regret spending $300 and not enjoying a single thing we ordered except the pistachio gelato ! Service is as fantastic but food was disappointing.

   We ate at Bella Trattoria on Friday, Feb 8th (2025). Our reservation was for 7PM, but they were extermely busy and we did not get seated until 7:25PM. They apologized and comped us some Prosecco for keeping us waiting. I had the prix fixe menu, starting with the fagioli e scarole soup (a bitter greens stew with beans and crostini), a main course of Osso Bucco, and fnishing with the panna cotta. Everything was excellent. I tried my dining companions' dishes, Amatriciana (yummy!), and Sorrentina (the most delicate gnocci I've ever had). We will go back.

   Restaurant is pretty dirty and tired looking. Food mediocre at best Server was very nice and gave good service.

   Great food and service. Neighborhood location so easy to par. Handy when you decide not to cook at the last minute.

   Sooooo good. First time there and the whole night was perfect. Food, service,overall vibe. Restaurants like this is why San Francisco remains a great foodie scene.

   The aloof hostess cooled down our expectations of our experience — hardly an acknowledgment as we awkwardly waited by the door for about 5 minutes, no eye contact, forget smiling. The server was much better. The place feels a bit disjointed…very loud, some parts feel cozy others don’t. Food was good. Not sure I’d got back.

   We loved Bella’s. Love the crew there especially David the owner and Christian our bartender. We always get treated like famiiy. The food is great and love that we can also do wine tastings in their wine room. There is something for everyone. It is a must if you have not gone there yet . 🥰

    One of my favorite places to eat in San Francisco and I enjoy bringing people to experience the food and service. Tonight I brought my cousin and we enjoyed Caesar Salad, Minestrone soup, Pappardelle and Rigatoni (my personal favorite. His review to the server was Amazing! We will be returning on Wednesday for Happy Hour for 10 people for a pseudo memorial celebration. Kitty was very good as well as others who helped deliver and remove plates from the table. Attentive without being intrusive.
