   We had dinner at Beauty on Essex last night. We showed up at the reservation time and were told we would have to wait about 10 minutes. We ordered drinks at the bar and unfortunately the bar top was filthy which soiled my shirt sleeve. The bartender apologized and cleaned it. The hostess arrived about 15 minutes later and sat us. The food and the service were really excellent. However this restaurant is one of the noisiest I’ve ever been in. I asked if this was unusual. The waiter said it was like this every night. Definitely go here but bring ear plugs.

   Very disappointing. I felt as if I was eating in a mediocre restaurant and really didn’t understand the overall high rating. Food was not appetizing by any means.

   It was a beautiful venue and we were happy that we tried it. It was super busy and even though our server was a total sweetheart, she had way too many tables making for slow service so leave yourself lots of time. We liked the pace of food service which was delicious but extremely small portions (ie tapas) so it gets a bit pricey. Overall would recommend!

   This place is awesome! Got right in with our reservation. Really cool atmosphere. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly with suggestions as requested. Food was the best we’ve had. Did the roasted bone marrow, steak tartar quesadilla, fried dessert beignets (doughnuts) and pot de crème. Soo good we’re going back again tomorrow!

   We love this restaurant! This was our second visit. We’ve tried many things on the menu now and I’d order everything again. Standouts are the Little French Dips, Brisket Bao’s, and the Kale Apple Salad is sooooo good! (Try it even if you don’t like kale). Wellington and lamb very good. The donuts and butterscotch pot de crème are delicious. Cocktails deliver. The only thing I’d do differently in the future is order in stages. We went ahead and placed our appetizer and entree order at the same time and asked our server to space it out. Way too vague on our part. All the food came so fast I felt like Lucy and Ethel trying to catch up at the chocolate factory. I asked them to slow it down when all four appetizers came out with our cocktails. I guess it was too late. Our entrees came right on top of appetizers. Again, we should not have placed our appetizer and entree order at once trusting the “pace it out” message to land. We will go back. It’s our favorite restaurant at The Cosmo.

   Great experience. Sat at the bar solo due to my friend getting stuck in a poker tournament. Bartenders were awesome. Food was unbelievable. Been here multiple times and I’ll continue to visit.

    The Cosmopolitan is full of creative restaurants and this may be one of the best, not just because of its look and style, but the menu is creative and delicious. Definitely get the grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings!
