Our stunning ocean-front location with spectacular sunsets makes the Beach House an iconic destination on Kauai's south shore that has won the Hale 'Aina Award for "Best Restaurant - Kauai" for 20+ years.

Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take aloha, blend it with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and add an ocean view to deliver a handcrafted, Hawaiian experience. Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from island fisherman and our beef from neighboring ranches. We incorporate fresh and local produce throughout our menu, highlighting Hawai'i farms and the resources that surround Kauai.

Reservations are highly recommended for a dining room table in our open-air restaurant. We also offer lounge seating on our lawn, where the full menu and full service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check in with the bar host for lawn seating.

I wanted to like this restaurant, and booked it for a special night to celebrate our 10th Anniversary, even having told them that in my booking. The 5 hostesses at the front ruined that plan. The utter lack of control over the amount of people in the front area made things chaotic; not a great feeling for coming into what is supposed to be a chill night. Our reservation was for 6pm, as the sun was setting around 6:17 PM. We showed up on-time and were told to wait in an adjoining room. We saw, as we were waiting beyond our reservation time, the sun setting through a window from the waiting area. As soon as the sun went down, we were told that our “table was ready.” I checked in and one of the women said, without looking at me, “Thanks for waiting, please follow her your table.” So I walked towards the dining room and saw a woman with menus and nobody else following her. My wife and I followed her all the way to the back of the restaurant. She laid two menus down on a 6-top table. We then asked if the 6-top was for us, and she said in a snotty attitude, “I wasn’t leading you here.” So I just shook my head and went back to the front. There was another girl there with menus who said she would take us to our table. So we followed her. She took us to the bar area, where there was a counter. I said to my wife as she was laying the menus down, don’t you want an actual table? Meanwhile, the woman that seated us was close enough to have heard this, but turned around and left. We were also sat behind a partition with the view blocked. At this point I didn’t even want to stay, as the treatment we were receiving made me feel like we were unwanted. I told my wife I guess they didn’t get my message that it was our 10th anniversary, because nobody said anything to us at the hostess stand, and the treatment has been poor. Our server, Nate, saved the night. He wished us a happy 10th Anniversary and came with two glasses of champagne to celebrate. Food was great, as was our waiter.

We had an amazing dining experience. The views were incredible, the food was delicious, and service was very good. We had Ahi Tuna Steak and Crusted Mahi Mahi. Both were excellent. We also ordered Tiramisu upon Ali’s recommendation. It was delicious. The sunset over the ocean capped off a perfect evening.

The hostess and server were very engaging and friendly. We sat at a counter at the bar. Quite nice. The food came at a nice pace. Everything was delicious and hot when it was served. Not a sophisticated presentation, but tasty. Fun atmosphere.

Best dinner experience on Kauai! From the view, food and service The Beachhouse was as good as it gets. Our server, Seth, was the absolute best. He guided us through both food and drinks that made our evening memorable.

You go here for the sunset. It’s hot and noisy place. But the food is consistently good. Put up with the heat for the sunset and food.

The food should be good. It’s a restaurant. The atmosphere should be amazing. It’s a restaurant, but our waiter was above and beyond our expectations. It makes it better restaurant.

Excellent views but make sure you book so that the sunset is part of the time you are having dinner. or at least a drink out on the lawn when you are there. Food is good but don't let the waiting staff try and hurry your dinner and get your out. We bought a bottle of wine and let the bartender keep the bottle while you watch the sunset before you start dinner.
