   Fabulous French bistro. Superb service - really relaxed, helpful and all round great. The food is wonderful - seasonal and so delicious. I’m vegetarian and was delighted with all 3 courses being roast vegetables tart, goats cheese pithivier and Paris Brest for dessert. My non veggie friends were super impressed too. First visit but definitely won’t be the last as this is my new favourite restaurant.

   First time at Bavette. Originally unable to book on preferred date but slot became available nearer the date. Food good but could have been hotter. Family vineyard wine was interesting. Quite noisy. Staff excellent. Would go again

   Not sure what all the fuss is about! I felt rushed chosing what to eat and several of the dishes did not live up to my expectations. Lobster bisque did not look appetising, duck over cooked and the tarte tatin was burnt with a bitter tasting caramel sauce. My son is a chef so I know what good food tastes like, I was disappointed to say the least.

   Great asset to Horsforth .. fantastic food, not cheap but in my opinion worth it. Will be returning..

   We were greeted and served by a wonderful team of people. Everyone was so hospitable. The food was stunning and we had a lovely lunch. I would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be back.

   Absolutely fantastic- every element was executed perfectly, cannot choose a favourite dish! Staff were attentive, knowledgable and friendly. Cannot wait to go back!

   Quite disappointed really. Had been wanting to go for a long time - small French bistro vibe doing great food well - and obviously mentioned in the guide. But shellfish bisque was too strong (almost artificial flavour) with an unnecessary oil on (? fennel) and unnecessary addition of harrisa to the aoili. My partner's roast beetroot was over powered by horseraddish. The cote de boeuf was very well cooked but tepid, and the brocolli though cooked well was overpowered by anchovies. The dauphinoise was excellent. Very good portion sizes (can't fault) but we didnt have deserts. So standard of cooking very good but the flavours too strong. Very small winelist by the glass, only 10 wines, and we left some wine (unheard of).
