Bata is a restaurant designed to celebrate the best our region has to offer. We cook over a live oak fire, on our custom fabricated hearth. Our menu changes daily. We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. The cocktail list highlights the best products of the season, with a carefully curated list of spirits from across the globe. We believe that our hospitality is just as important as the food and beverages we put on the table.

We do not encourage our restaurant for young children. We do not have any highchairs in house and ask that you please bring your own if it is required.

We do not offer any outdoor seating. Private dining, kitchen counter and large party seating available. Email hello@batatucson.com for inquiries.

    Beautifully prepared and delicious food was shared in a family style by our party of 4. We had a great time during all phases of the meal. There was no pressure to complete our dining experience (greatly appreciated!). We will definitely return in the near future to sample the seasonal and locally sourced items. Bravo to the Bata team!!

    I t was the perfect spot to catch up with an d friends. We enjoyed quality food, designed and prepared with thoughtful care and ingenuity. The majority of items are locally sourced and I LOVE supporting the community in which I reside!!! The portions were the size I prefer, not huge so you end up overly full after a meal. They are perfectly portioned so I was satisfied and not uncomfortable as I couldn’t stop eating each delicious course!! I HIGHLY recommend for people who care about what they put in their body as well as the community they are dining in!!

    If you are looking for a place with great food and fantastic service, Bata is a great option. We went here for dinner for our anniversary and it was perfect.

    Lovely meal all around: good cocktails, creative appetizers and entrees with fresh ingredients and wonderful flavor. The appetizers are a bit on the small size, but the entrees are ample. Highly recommended!

    Incredible Eating Experience. Every dish was sharable, unique, and delicious. Possibly the most interesting food experience in a long time. If you know Masa's or Noma's, this is it right here in Tucson.

    Truly a top dining experience in Tucson. Be adventurous and let them select for you. Everything was delightful and some new tastes for us. Service was excellent and guided us through the experience
