Bastion is the 24-seat restaurant of James Beard Foundation Award Nominee Chef Josh Habiger. It is located in a separate area within the casual cocktail bar of the same name, and it is a part of the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Bastion's dining room features counter seating around the kitchen for parties of 2 as well as three tables for parties of 3 to 6. Bastion's small team serves a weekly set menu of six dinner courses featuring many dishes with a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and inspirations. Friendly service guides you through the culinary experience, which also features wine pairings, creative cocktails, and a curated vinyl soundtrack. Come early or stay late in the hidden Little Bar, which is a private offering for guests of the restaurant.

    Fantastic experience on every level. Only regret is that we hadn’t been to Bastion soon. Every course from start to finish was on point starting with the raw oyster. Service was exceptional. I loved the touch of continuing our experience to the bar after dinner for a night cap.

    The food and service were both amazing. Each meal was served by one of the chefs and explained very well. The wine pairings were spot on and made for a really delicious evening. Good music was playing at an appropriate volume and the atmosphere was intimate and welcoming.

    This place is truly worth the trip. Cool setting, fun and interesting food, expert service and unique cocktails. I promise you I will be back with my family to show them a really special dining experience. Thanks to Chris and the rest of the staff at Bastion for making my first visit there one to remember.     It was an amazing experience for our first Valentine’s Day together. Every bite was so good and the staff was so nice. 10/10, not notes. We’ll be back!
