When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.

We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.

In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price. And, true to our Bascom's Chop House name, we also offer hand-cut veal, pork and lamb chops all prepared to perfection, as well as a great selection of native seafood delivered fresh daily.

    Bascom’s is always good , service and food always on point. Great wine list and love the wine guy really knows his stuff . Bill our server was very good timed everything out perfectly . It is and will continue to be our go to place.

    We came to Bascoms for Valentine’s Day. It had been years since we last ate here, but in the past our experience was great so we expected the same this time. The food was bland. Lobster bisque was bland, no chunks of lobster in the soup. I ordered Waygu and it was the WORST steak I have ever had! Chewy, the cut of meat I was served tasted worse than a cheap sirloin from Chili’s. We brought two friends with us and to spend $400 on 2 people is a huge disappointment when the food was this terrible. We were also sat in the red room and felt the ambiance was bad. Our server wanted to rush us through the entire meal. He accidentally brought my friend a drink she didn’t order, THEN CHARGED HER FOR IT! We will never be back.

    We loved our Valentine’s Day dinner. Everything was perfect. Literally no wait time for reservation time, seated in a very nice area, service was amazing with great recommendations from our server. The food was delicious! Highly recommended!

    Their Valentine dinner started off nice with a rose, but to get more tables in they had small round tables that were really not big enough. You could not get your legs in and out without fighting with the table. Our waitress was great and we never had to ask for anything. Lobster appetizers were fabulous, salad was good, we chose the tomahawk steak and lobster tail. Steak was cooked just right and had the best flavor, the lobster was tough and rubbery, and we didn’t get our sides right away, like they forgot them. Dessert was good so overall it was a good dinner.

    There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful the Valentine’s Day dinner was at Bascom’s. From the appetizer to the dessert, every bite was amazing. The crab cake was delicious, Bascom’s salad was delightful, Chilean Sea Bass was fantastic and the flourless chocolate torte was incredible! We loved the complimentary rose and two William Dean heart shaped chocolates. Bascom’s restaurant is the best and our favorite place for exquisite dining!
