   The ambience is so lovely and great for a date. I liked the drinks too. However, we had a bizarre experience with the waitress. I am not sure if she was having trouble hearing us, but she did not listen to our requests at every interaction. It was in one ear and out the other. An example: when we sat down, she greeted us and asked if we would be ordering food or just here for drinks, we said yes we would be ordering food but drinks first. She proceeded to take our food menus and plates away, and said if we changed our minds about food she could bring them but but she’d give us time to look at drinks… ?? Confusing because we had just said we would be ordering food just not right away. In another scenario too, we mentioned wanting to order another round of drinks and she seemed to acknowledge it but then walked away? Bizarre. That being said, I would still go back!

   Food and drinks were good. The music playlist was driving me crazy! Same songs, over and over. Sweet Caroline 5 times in 1.5 hrs. 😳

   Lovely atmosphere on a cold, Tuesday evening. Server was very helpful in recommending a bottle of wine that three women could agree upon! Charcuterie board was a nice snack to enjoy while drinking wine. A great spot in the neighborhood!

   Barrel, cheese & wine was amazing! I can’t say enough about the service, food and atmosphere. I hosted a party for 12 and the team was so accommodating. They went above and beyond for us and made our party one we will remember for a long time. As far as food goes, I’d recommend everything on the menu. But the feta spread was amazing! For me, the one thing that stood out is that they didn’t have any hidden fees. There were no surprises or special charges bc of our party size and I think that’s so hard to find these days. I can’t wait to go back.

   The man who greeted us at the door was extremely rude and uninviting. The service was subpar and they gave MAYBE $2 worth of each cheese. Was extremely underwhelmed and will never be back. Would not recommend. The bread they included was also very weird. It looked like whole grain breakfast toast you would get at a cheap diner.

   Food was clearly cheap. Portions were small. We added dry salami to our cheese board for $16 and they gave us 5 pieces

   Came on a Monday afternoon. It was dead. The cocktails were pretty tasty, but the music choice didn’t match the ambiance of the restaurant and made our group want to leave.

    I came by Barrel for a mid-week date and thought it was perfect. The cheese selections and portions were good. And it was quite enough to have a conversation. I’ll certainly be coming back.
