   Strong and adventurous menu, we started with the shrimp and oysters, the plating was…. Strange. With the shrimp and oysters perched on white coral that was sitting on a black plate. Nevertheless, they tasted great. Wife had Antelope, but the server kept calling it Elk, (more on him later) and I had the lamb. Both portions were very small. My lamb was just 2 bones for $55 almond with some mushrooms that were too salty to eat and some aged cabbage that I didn’t care for (my wife liked it though). My wife’s $60 antelope filet was good, and might be priced correctly, not sure on the current antelope market. All in all, the food was good, but not enough of a variety to make us come back for just the food. Ambiance was great! Beautiful small space, that the designers really put a lot of thought into maximizing every inch. It was loud enough for us to know the place was busy, but quiet enough for us to have a conversation. We sat in a small 2 person booth near the bar. Service was horrible. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and were told we could wait in a variety of places since our table was not ready yet. I attempted to get a drink at the bar, but was greeted with “whatcha want?” I asked for a menu and he replied “you don’t already know?” Then huffed handed me a menu and went back to polishing glassware. In the 5 min it took for our table to be ready, he hadn’t come back to get my order. We sat down when the bartender that I had the earlier interaction with, shows up to get us drinks. He asks if I now know what I want to drink. We order two cocktails. He stands there f and says “so are you ready to order or what?” I said we haven’t even looked at our menus, and to give us a minute. About 4 min later he comes back and says “you know what you want tonight?” And we order the appetizer, but hadn’t decided on dinner just yet. Basically we were ignored all night. No refills, no second glass of wine. We felt very rushed, and not welcome at all. Don’t want to return.

   Never Disappoints! We had another amazing meal. We selected the tasting menu. It started with the Coronets, flavorful cones of savory chicken tinga, black beans and powerful guacamole. Second course was the consume', rich broth with lobster bits and jicama, third course was Barons chopped salad, presented as a small brick full of flavor from candied walnuts, bacon, basil and abounding textures. Fourth course was the perfectly prepared Dover Sole with leeks and lemon capers. Fifth course was a tender, flavorful petite filet. Sixth course was the rich chocolate ganche. Each course was a baby brother version of the standard portion. Each course was perfectly sized and led to a meal that was substantial yet not overly filling. Service was attentive, but not over bearing, our water glasses were never empty and wine galsses were filled on cue. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. We have paid more for far lesser meals!

   Best food I have had in a long time… I have Alpha Gal and they were very accommodating to my allergies. Had some great food with no reaction issues. Will be back

   We had to wait 20++ minutes for our table even though we arrived at the exact time of our reservation and there were clearly tables of five (5) available. Most of the dishes we ordered were fine but the Dover Sole seemed a bit off. The service was OK but not superb and it is quite pricey but didn't live up to all its hype as Tulsa's top new restaurant of 2024.

   First time to Baron's, excellent service! Menu was interesting and offered unique flavors and preparation. Definitely has set itself apart from the usual 'steakhouse' concept and is likely to become our new favorite fine dining option. Exceptional restaurant!
