   Excellent Restaurant conveniently located in the Beltline close to my offices. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive - perfect for a business lunch. The food was outstanding. I greatly enjoyed the squid ink spaghetti with fresh clams and mixed seafood. My business colleague had what looked like an amazing cheese dish. Both were served quickly and piping hot. Very generous serving sizes. I hope this restaurant becomes a big hit as it deserves to do well. Reasonable prices and bright sunny space. I need to return to try out what appears to be an extensive wine list. Thanks for your great service! Hugh

   First time at Bar Chouette after being recommended by a close friend and it was amazing. I invited my friends to ask them to be in my wedding and the server went above and beyond to make it special. Ambience was amazing, food even better and the service was exceptional. Thank you again for making this moment so special.

   So,.... I was really excited to get a second reservation here because our first experience had been outstanding. We arrived on time for reservation and were told it would be just a couple of minutes to clear our table and re-set it. We were a party of 5- it was my daughter's birthday and my niece's last night with us before she flew home to Gilead. We sat in the designated area waiting and wondering which table was ours as everyone seemed to only be in the early stages of their meals. A few minutes later a server with short blond hair came over to us and told us that unfortunately they had made an error in the reservations- would we like to sit at the bar- we declined for the aforementioned reasons- (a bar is not conducive to conversations of a group.) She then suggested perhaps we'd like to try another restaurant. (for real) I began looking for other places we could go (we had a fairly tight timeline (a few hours) since a trip to the airport was also happening that evening... A few minutes later we see that they are moving the group of 4 from the table and setting it again (for us). So we were relieved...except then we sat there for another 20mins before we were even offered water and then again to order... the guy who served us was very apologetic and professional but honestly, we didn't really enjoy the meal because the tone had been set by our initial encounter- unwelcomed- so I don't think we'll be back- there are a lot of restaurants in this city- so when we choose one- we expect to be treated as welcomed guests.

   Service was great, been to Bar Chouette a few times now and servers are always attentive. Food just feels lackluster, a hit or miss for me personally. I enjoyed their snacks, I had the milk bun and beef tartar which I enjoyed. The larger plates were alright.

   Server (long blonde hair, fair skin & nose ring sorry forgot the name) was friendly & knowledgeable about the dishes. Not too loud so we can have a conversation. Tasty food. On the Pricey side although . Worth a visit

   First time dining at Bar Chouette, we had heard a particularly great review from CBCs Elizabeth Carson so thought we would check it out. She was bang on. Duncan Ly has nailed again, high quality food, stunning dishes punched with flavour, nice variety of plate sizes, great service and we thought it was amazing value. Also a nice touch meeting the man himself 🍷. We will definitely be back sooner rather later👍🏻

    We were 2 and had several share dishes, we asked the waiter or barmaid to change the dishes from the appetizers courses to main dishes, seems like he hesitated to change the plate and even he didn't want to remove the old plates and just pushed the new plate on the table. I have to remove the old plate and gave to him. The bill wasn't cheap but the services was very poor.
