Bar Chinois is recognized for its constantly-evolving Chinese menu and French-inspired cocktail and wine program. Located in Mount Vernon Triangle, Bar Chinois is a short walk from the Washington Convention Center, Capital One Arena, National Mall and Union Station. We offer happy hour specials Tuesday-Sunday from 5 pm-7 pm and a bottomless brunch on weekends.

Bar Chinois is a neighborhood gem. Their happy hour features my two favorite things: steamed dumplings and delicious cocktails. I highly recommend this place!

The manager Ian was pleasantly welcoming and greeted my friends and I with warmth. The bartender, Frank, is a cocktail curator from another planet as each drink served was beautiful to look at and even more delicious sip after sip! The vibes were trendy with a classic feel and the pork belly bao was so nice we ordered twice! Totally anticipating our next visit now!

I loved my server she was so sweet and checked on me. Highly recommend the Sancerre Bordeaux as well as the chili karaage, and 1970s garlic noodles. They both had so much smokiness and umami, and flavor. ALSO great vegetarian options for your vegetarian friends! I am definitely coming here again!

the ambiance was actually really good!! only thing that wasn’t even the restaurant’s fault was that there were a couple people being obnoxiously loud but, again, no fault to the restaurant.

The ambience is terrific! Low lighting with Asian lanterns hanging too. Food is absolutely delicious - we ordered seconds on the ribs they were so good. Service is extremely attentive without being invasive. Highly recommend Bar Chinoise!
