Back Deck offers professional backyard grilling in a laid-back city setting seven days a week. Back Deck brings the outdoors inside with details like exterior carriage lighting and glazed brick in the dining room and an open kitchen that invites guests to watch the flame-licked fun. Back serves polished takes on cookout classics as well as dishes cooked over an open flame at homes across the globe. Almost all of the menu is grilled on three hardwood charcoal grills hand-picked to accommodate many differing options.

    Nice place just down the road from the theater, nice atmosphere, pleasant staff with good food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back after our next theater visit.

    We love Back Deck when we are going to a matinee. Super close to the theater. The food is excellent. Great for picky kids. Love the breakfast option. Emily our waitress was very attentive.

    Very disappointing quality & service. I'd be hard pressed to believe there was any meat in the turkey burger I was served here; Tasted like nothing but bread crumbs. My partner was given a different burger than he ordered; No apology was offered for the mixup. The chickpea burger he ultimately got didn't look much better than my "turkey". Would not return.

    I used to enjoy the back deck, but last night the food was not that great and neither was the service. My soup was cold and the roll that my Burger was on was so stale it was crumbling.

    Always a good bet before the theater. A full house but they got everyone out in plenty of time. Food was delicious. We just had burgers tonight. A bit light on the fries. Snicker sundae was great. Our server was attentive and gracious. See you in a couple weeks. Looking forward to pork tacos!

    We had never been to Back Deck before. We were looking for restaurant near South Station, and this appeared to have plenty to choose from. Two of us got steak tips and they were excellent. The other got Grilled Chicken salad. The waitress was great, the food was great and the ambiance was great. We were pleased and would go back again.

    Good food nice atmosphere. Drinks need work, ordered two espresso martinis one with baileys they were not good. Had to be send back but server was gracious immediately asked what else we would like to try and we were not charged for the drinks. The other two mixed drinks were sub par. Might have just been a bad night for drinks but overall great restaurant and service.
