Service was excellent and food was great. Yes it’s expensive, but the quality, taste and experience are the reason why. Best meal I have had in NYC (4 years here). I have eaten a lot of salads in my life and they served the best salad of my life.

The appetizer was pretty good: tartar. The pasta dish was underwhelming; a mushroom truffle pasta. We got the strip steak and two sides. The steak was incredibly dry, it was not a $60 steak but maybe a $20 value. It lost most of its flavor, and probably one of the worst steaks I have eaten in NYC. Coincidentally our potatoes were also incredibly dry as well, to the point where we did not finish either dish. We also ordered a side of carrots that had been soaked in a sauce and over cooked to the point they were mushy. This might have been one of my least satisfying meals in NYC and incredibly overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was delicious and the service was attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and we were very well taken care of. Everyone loved their meal. The only thing slightly comical to us was that they played an entire Grateful Dead album.

Food as usual was very good. However, first it was a 3 hour meal. That’s simply too long. Second, it makes no sense to play The Doors and Rolling Stones loudly during dinner. I asked twice to have it lowered, but the manager (who really should be fired for his awful attitude) refused. I like both rock groups and grew up with them, but it’s wrong to play them, and play them loudly, on a weekday evening. There are plenty of equally good Italian restaurants instead.

The pasta’s and ingredients were absolutely incredible. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar really surprised us. The service was good but could be improved, it was a bit chaotic and the music could be turned down a little bit.

The service was eclectic, fun, and accommodating. We had the pasta tasting menu with the wine pairing, and the work done on presentation and explaining the food and wine was amazing. Can’t want tot come back and try everything else.
