Avanti, a Valley tradition since 1974. . . Dramatic, crisp black and white interiors, candlelight and a quiet atmosphere. Vegetarians and Seafood lovers will be awed by the selections of homemade pasta from deliciously light Gnocchi Alfredo, Eggplant and Meat Lasagna, to seasonal hand crafted Ravioli. Fresh Fish and seafood dishes vary- from a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail to an Italian crafted Cioppino.                                                                                       My party went to Avanti for my post-graduation meal and I could not have chosen a better place. The food was amazing especially the crème brûlée at the end. The service was impeccable and attentive. The cost was a bit higher than expected but the quality of the food was well worth it for such an experience. If I ever come back to Phoenix and Scottsdale, I’ll come to this place again.

                                                                                      Old school for sure, but that's no excuse for using canned/jarred artichoke hearts in a dish. I've seen dishes plated better in a good cook's home than at Avanti. I suppose the throwback design is a nod to yesteryear and that's okay but the Chicken Francese and Gnocchi were serious disappointments.

                                                                                      We dine here every time we are in the Phoenix area - fabulous service and menu - a gem! Enjoyed halibut yesterday and lamb osso bucco- both great dishes. Fair prices.
