   The ambiance at Augie’s is lovely, and the service was excellent. However, we were extremely disappointed by the long wait for our entrees, which arrived barely warm. It was evident that they had been left under heat lamps for far too long. We were hungry and chose not to complain at the time, but this experience was unacceptable for all five of us.

   The difference niner was simply fantastic! We had the scallops for a starter, endive salad( amazing) and mussels and boudin Blanc. Our waiter was not very engaging so that was disappointing. The hostess was superb so she made up for him. Overall great dinner but our server was average otherwise I would have left a bigger tipping

   Our table enjoyed the dishes we had: scallop appetizer, French onion soup,salmon, steak and frites and beef bourguignon. The wines on the other hand were disappointing at best.

   Too much salt on everything!, even the chocolate mousse! Over half of your audience is over 50! Two sauces for the steak frites was absurd when I asked for bernaise my steak was in a red wine reduction. With bernaise on the side! French I think not! But on the positives the steak was cooked to perfection!

   Finally a fabulous place to eat in Santa Rosa. I just wish we had found it sooner. Everything about this restaurant is superb, a true dining from the interior design , to the attentive waiters and finally the food. Ah the food, So hard to chose from a menu filled with French specialties. We ordered the snails, perfectly cooked with herbs and butter. the country pate, one of the best I have ever had, endive salad, pears, cheese, in a wonderful vinaigrette. Our entrees, sausage, succulent and flavorful and duck confit, rich and hearty. Our wines that we chose were all tasty and priced very well. One of the best meals we have had in a long time

   Augie's is my favorite restaurant. I've celebrated my birthday numerous time, for lunch and dinner. The food is consistently excellent as is the service. I can't say enough about it! Pat Gustafson

    Everything about our visit to Stark’s Augie’s French met the highest standards of excellence—food, service, and ambiance were exceptional! Special thanks to Raul P. for delivering impeccable service throughout the evening. Our party of four indulged in a variety of dishes and drinks, and every item was memorable •Drinks: Margaritas, a Manhattan, and wine—all mixed and served to perfection, setting the gold standard. •Starters: The Sweetbreads were the best we’ve ever tasted. The Endive, Pear, and Walnut salad, paired with a generous Roquefort cheese chunk (somewhere between a golf ball and a hardball in size), was both decadent and satisfying. •Mains: •The Coquilles St.-Jacques lived up to its saintly name, perfectly balanced and rich in flavor. •The Beef Cheek Bourguignon was tender and deeply flavorful—a true delight. •The Steak & Frites hit the mark with its perfect medium-rare cook, and those frites? Hot, consistently salted, and leagues ahead of anything from fast food. •The Mussels were plump and coated in a perfectly seasoned sauce, complemented beautifully by yet another round of frites. We were so satisfied with these rich culinary treats that there was no room left for dessert. Augie’s French Restaurant is truly a gem, and this experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
