   We had a reservation for fine dining (white tablecloth, adequate servers, charming setting, relative quiet permitting conversation) on the first floor-- and were forced onto the second floor when the restaurant sold out the first floor to a single group. It was nasty!!! Incredibly loud, rumpus room/train station-like, no tablecloths, short on utensils, uncoordinated food service, struggling servers, very late drink service, cold food, NO graciousness-- imagine our anger and embarrassment in hosting house guests there. NEVER AGAIN!!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS RESTAURANT??? As we exited, we saw the private party enjoying the experience we had booked and had not received. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!

   Ran out of coffee at 10am (their open) for Sunday Brunch and espresso machine was broken. Inattentive (if very friendly) service. Good atmosphere and food but if you go there stay on top of the staff.

   Great ambiance and amazing service by Alex and "Other Alex". For starters, the shishito peppers and provencals mussels were delicious, nicely prepared. Mussels with frites, the peppers nicely charred with a lime wedge for that umami hit. Drinks were delicious and meticulously crafted by Other Alex. And the main dinners were tasty and well portioned, squid ink seafood pasta and gnocchi. The dessert - Nutella cheesecake - was overly indulgent and I could have gone for a lighter fare. Other Alex sold me on it, she's excellent at her craft. A must visit and adjacent to the Yale University Arts Library and Yale School of Art - super chill street vibes. Lots of free street parking too! I'd visit again, thank you for the great experience.

   Mussels good as always. Brussels sprouts were as well. Salmon could have been a little less cooked. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

    The cocktails were great. The pasta I ordered was supposed to have pesto, but it was some odd brown sauce that had some degree of pesto flavor but mostly lacked general seasoning. My husband's steak had zero seasoning at all. It's a tricky night because it's the holidays, so maybe we had the B team in the kitchen? As it is, we won't go back.
