More than a Fado House, Associação do Fado Casto is a Fado Academy.

Informality reigns. Pedro de Castro – host and talented guitarist – presents, on the walls of the room, a vast collection of vinyl records that represent the heritage and tradition of Fado.

The tables are crowded and the snacks arrive little by little. You can taste dishes that you could eat at a Portuguese home: from bean soup to fish from the vegetable garden, including "pica-pau" with pickles and chorizo roasted on the table. Wine will always be on your table.
Don't miss the opportunity to attend this concert in an XVIII Lisboa-style building, built on top of a Roman Theater, which stands out for its 6-meter ceiling height with original stone arcades.

Friendly host and staff with very good Portuguese dishes, table wine and service. The incredible Fado musicians were excellent.

Enttäuschend! Online-Reservierung, die bestätigt wurde. Bei Ankunft dann: es läge keine Reservierung vor. Trotz Vorlage der Reservierungsnestätiging keinerlei Bereitschaft/Entgegenkommen, die Situation zu lösen. Das komme wohl öfter vor - Schade um die Vorfreude auf den Abend…
