Good interesting food, but a little over salted. One of the best Old Fashioned cocktails (they call it The Den) that I’ve ever had.

Greeted with a hand written congratulatory note celebrating our daughter’s college Senior ring ceremony. Cocktails-apps-dinner-desserts were all divine! Taco, our waiter, made the evening a wonderfully memorable experience! Thank you, Arlo Grey by Kristen Kish!

Some of the worst service we’ve had in a long time. After he took our order we didn’t see our waiter at all during the first or second course. No one offered to refill our water a single time during our meal. Also, there was a pit in the crushed green olive/grilled sourdough appetizer.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Arlo Grey. The menu is very interesting, with lots of wonderful flavor combinations to choose from. Our group of seven ordered a range of appetizers, all delicious. The beet salad and kanpachi were exceptional, and the sourdough bread was absolutely fantastic, as was the olive tapenade that accompanied it. I'm not usually a fan of beets, but if all beets tasted like these, I'd eat them regularly. Entrees were also very interesting and well done, I especially enjoyed the halibut in a tasty cioppino broth and the chicken which came with two flavorful sauces and roasted butterscotch squash that could have been an entree in its own right. Desserts were delightful, particularly the lime sorbet (light, tangy, very refreshing), the sourdough ice cream, and the toasted honey ganache with a crunchy almond tuile. Service was very good, and our group had a really great time. As a bonus, we were fortunate to dine on a night when Kristen Kish was in the kitchen, and she was kind enough to come to the table, chat for a few minutes, refill our water glasses (yes, that's right), and take a couple photos with our group. She was very gracious and engaging, and the Top Chef devotees among us were absolutely giddy. All in all, a really wonderful experience.

The food carried this restaurant as it was impeccably done. Everything we had was hot, delicious, and truly creative. Some of the best in the city. The service however was sad. We arrived to our reservation on time and was greeted at the host stand. The restaurant was maybe a 1/3 full definitely a slow night. We were told to wait at the bar and ended up waiting 15 minutes for our table to be ready. The table we were given in this empty restaurant was right next to a small business party. So many other options for seating than by the drunk, loud people that were trying to talk over each other the whole night. Then our server took about 10 minutes to finally arrive at our table. Once he arrived we ordered a bottle of wine. The server brought us the bottle and dropped it on the table Causing it to pour on to the table and myself. He quickly picked it up and wiped the mess and apologized. Then he poured the wine as if some of it wasn’t lost on the table. I feel like we should have gotten a fresh bottle at the very least. He did comp our desert but that in no way covers spilling wine on me and then serving us the spilled bottle. The food is really really good though, this was our second visit, and the first one tasted just and good, and the was service just as bad.

I took my wife to Arlo Grey to celebrate her 40th birthday and it was a first-class experience from top to bottom. From the quickly attentive hostess, who seated us, to the thoughtful note left for my wife, the details clearly mattered. Our waiter, Kevin, explained the concept of the menu and what to expect and his knowledge was top notch. And the food didn’t miss. Outstanding crudo, standout burrata, the malfaldini didn’t miss and the chicken was nothing expected. Add to that some surprises by the chef for my wife and the night was a 10. Thanks for making the night so special for my wife. Cheers.

I had super high expectations and it was a nice evening but food wasn’t as interesting and service wasn’t memorable. I loved the okra and the cocktails!
