We came for their Christmas Day dinner. It was unbelievable as every dish was 5 stars. Their steak is a must. Butternut squash soap is delicious and obviously you can’t go wrong with their milk bread.

The place is quite nice, and floor service is very attentive and prompt. The food was ok, but nothing really special for the price charged. We originally decided to have our family Christmas lunch at Ardor since the staff confirmed by email that a dedicated Christmas menu and kids menu would be available, but actually that was not true and only the standard brunch menu was available. Anyway thanks to the floor staff for the overall experience that was smooth and cordial.

Our server was terrible. We came in for Christmas Eve, it was me and my fiancés first Christmas Eve without our family, we were sat for about 10mins before anyone even greeted us or offered us water. When the server finally checked in with us after all we had to look at was the menu he asks “do you know how the menu works” not the warmest welcome… kind of insulting actually. He wasn’t kind and didn’t do anything to make our experience feel like a $470 meal for two people. The appetizers were good but duck was awful, I only had two bites. It was all fat and so chewy I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I left hungry and unsatisfied… I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Was there for the Christmas Eve prix fixe. The service was fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was good, not great. The soup was very good, the bread was very good, but ordered the filet with truffles as the entree. It was a good quality filet but the truffles were tasteless. It came with brusell sprout leaves - about 10. I'm not a big eater, but there wasn't much food in any of the courses and it was just above average - but for that very expensive holiday meal, it should have been fantastic and there should have been a little bit more of it. btw valet is $22, which seems out of hand.

The portions are really small so it’s pretty tough to share with anyone and even just for yourself. The food is OK and the cocktails are weak. The milk bread is really good—again small but that’s probably the biggest item on their menu.

Ambiance was good — ideal for an intimate date vs a birthday celebration (reason for our reservation). Gave 4 out of 5 stars because it took ~9 mins to be greeted by our server after being seated & ran out of the Roasted Chicken. Cocktails were absolutely a hit with each one we ordered, but presentation/quality lacked consistency near closing. Loved each appetizer: Cleaver Octopus, grilled oyster mushrooms (poblano crema was spectacular), and Onion Rings — don’t skip the ranch! Every entree was beautiful and tasted even better. Would definitely come back to try other options. For reference, we had a party of 7: 2 rounds of drinks, 3 appetizers and 7 entrees, paid $970.

Wonderful experience for my wife’s birthday. Service and food was wonderful and the ambiance/decor was unique compared to many other restaurants. They were also super accommodating to our Westie pup. Would definitely come back

We loved Preux and Proper and thought we were going to get kind of the same experience. Sadly the octopus was way overcooked and everything came out very quickly even before our drinks were delivered. There was nothing on the food side that was memorable. We understand the team was busy with a holiday party that night. But it seemed very sub par to what we remember the original restaurant being. We will be back though! Give it a second try
