   I LOVE the Angler! It is such a great spot in San Francisco. Located along the embarcadero, the ambiance inside and outside the restaurant is great. I have dined here at least times now, and have not had a bad dish. The wine/cocktail menu is great, with a good selection of mocktails as well. Dishes to highlight from 13Jan: embered oyster starter, radicchio salad, hen of the woods mushrooms, skate wing, full chicken (the BBQ sauce it's served with is so good), and of course the sundae and chocolate bar dessert. We tried the frog legs as well as they are always on the menu, and I never order them. The flavor was incredible, and the fry on them was also very nicely done. Worth trying at least once, even if it's not your thing. I already can't wait to go back! Service is always great, very friendly and personable staff to make the dining experience more fun. I would love to see the chili crusted sea bass make it back to the menu, as well as the antelope (venison?) tartare, as that was also delicious.

   Amazing food, exceptional service, and a wonderful ambiance! The sea bream is the best fish I’ve ever had. Coconut sorbet is a must try! The atmosphere is relaxed yet maintains a great ambiance. I especially enjoy my visits when I have a table with a view of the open kitchen. The staff is warm and informative, making every part of this restaurant feel like home.

   Fabulous food and service! We ordered the “let us cook for you” service and wine progression. Every course was impeccably prepared and presented. Since it was our anniversary, we started with a delicious champagne that had the flavor of garden fruits, like pear and apple. Not being champagne sophisticates, it was a delicious treat, and the wines that followed were all similar treats. Our server, Sanera, other wait staff and sommeliers were as excellent as they were friendly. We will definitely be back!

   We had new year's eve at Angler. It was excellent. The food, service--everything was great. Perfect service for sure. And a wonderful meal. It was expensive, but we figured on the cost so we were not surprised.

   Service was outstanding, but pricey for what you get. We had a salad, parker house rolls, a vegetable, 2 scallops and the sea bream. We had one cocktail and a glass and a half (not big pours) of wine. The sea bream was my favorite. You can really taste the smoke. The scallops were good too, but each was $26, so $52 for two scallops each the size of a half dollar size. Cost (20% service is added to your check, and our server let us know) was just about $300.

   Caviar was excellent, along with the rest of the fare. The environment was energetic and service was A+ in particular we enjoyed the 80s vibes which were playing throughout the meal.

   All the staffs are very courteous, nice, friendly and notice details quickly. From the starter, Oysters were fresh, and with the seaweed vinaigrette, it elevated the oyster a lot. With the frog leg, the meat is so tender and juicy. Sauce on the side offers a nice acidity touch for fried dish. I loved the fact that they took inspiration from Nashville Hot Chicken and curated to their own version, everything on the plate were seasoned perfectly even with the pickle they served on the side. Grilled half sea bream was wonderful, I can taste the charbroiled flavor. Fish was very crispy,meaty, juicy and buttery. With the Meyer lemon herb salad, it definitely made the dish more refreshing. Overall, I really enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you for everything and for sure I will come back soon.

    Went for my sister's birthday. She was greeted with a birthday card signed by all the staff. The dining room was spacious and elegant but not stuffy at all. Loved the 80s music soundtrack. The food and drinks were phenomenal—nothing too crazy or unusual, but the highest quality. We had a great time and would love to go back. It is not inexpensive by any means, but you will be well taken care of and enjoy a fantastic night out.
