I made my reservation over two months before the day of my reservation, June 3rd, and it turns out that Andanada was permanently closed, to my surprise, by the time we were supposed to go for dinner that day. I was never contacted by anyone from Andanada's staff or open table to be informed of the change. This was exceptionally terrible as I was surprising my hubby for our 11 yr anniversary as well as celebrating the birth of our newborn daughter. We literally found out about the closing as we were on our way to the restaurant after having paid for a sitter for the night and making arrangements. I could not believe the unprofessionalism of a two star Michelin restaurant to not inform it's clients of such a change. This has never happened to me in my life and I'm beyond shocked that an establishment like this would treat it's clients in this manner. I'm owed a dinner that I believe now will never happen as there is no knowledge of why this restaurant closed and if it will ever open.

We received an email the morning of our reservation that the restaurant was closed for emergency repairs. Sad not to have a chance to eat there.

I am not happy with Open Table or Andandana. I made a special effort with a date to get to the restaurant from Boston. When we arrived on time for our reservation, the restaurant was closed with no sign indicating why. A half hour before getting to the restaurant, I received no call or message that the restaurant would be closed. I found out later that the restaurant failed a fire inspection, which should have given the restaurant enough forewarning to contactt me. We were looking forward to dining at Andandana. We didn't have a backup plan for lunch. This was embarrassing to me and unprofessional on your part. Hugo Ahn

We booked a reservation a month in advance and were planning to have a nice dinner and show. However, when we arrived at Andanada for our scheduled reservation, they were not open at all. We tried to call, to no avail. They did not inform us in anyway that they would be closed and we had scramble to find another place that would get us in. We were extremely disappointed at the rude treatment.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived with an important guest from abroad. I received no email or phone calls from the restaurant to notify the closure. Also The closure was totally unexpected because I received a reservation reminder from Open Table on the day of the reservation. I have been to this restaurant several times and loved their food, but this event is quite surprising and at least make me remove from the list of places to invite my import guests.

Great dinner, horrible beverage options My wife and I had dinner at Andanada two days ago. We had an excellent meal, ordering the tapas tasting menu. It was made of a small jamon iberico toast, a cheese croquette bite, patatas bravas, artichokes, oxtail pie, slow cooked pork cheek, and a couple of other tapas dishes (octopus and another one I'm forgetting), followed by a great paella and a chocolate mousse dessert. We both loved each of these: the meat plates were beautifully cooked, melt in your mouth with actual strong flavor (at times, stewed meats can have flat flavors, that was not the case here), the octopus was noteworthy, paella a touch salty but very good too. Again, these were true and genuine flavors, not crazy unknown dishes, so no surprises but a very solid dinner. A major weakness was the list of beverages: the wine list was below subpar, almost insulting... only a small selection of wines in a list that lacked consistent level of information. Quality of the selection offered was mediocre at best... In addition, no good gin and tonic or other cocktail options, that would have been very appropriate in a Spanish restaurant

Used to really like this restaurant in the Lincoln center area but the food quality has deteriorated and the small plate choices have diminished. Too bad

What a huge disappointment! I had so much been looking forward to a special Spanish restaurant, and because they are so rare (very good ones) I was so anxious to try the ONE MICHELIN starred Andanada; it fell so short of any expectation OR star; it was so embarrassing to take someone from out-of-town there! First, I called to confirm my reservation and I couldn't reach them,no one answered the phone or email address. When I persisted, I got someone who couldn't understand why I was calling. The wine list offered NO white wines by the bottle;maybe not THE favorite of Spain, but they had glasses of Albarino;I asked if they had a bottle and they gave me one of the last. On a Saturday night at 7:30 they RAN OUT OF OLIVES!!and artichokes with Manchengo, it's a SPANISH RESTAURANT! The small plates were fair, the paella, which my tablemates wanted but I did not was MEDIOCRE and they offer 4-5!; dessert was very unappealing, just made with NO interest in doing it well. LET ME PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE: I dined in two one-starred restaurants in one week: BOULEY, which was a wonderful experience and Andanada which was an unpleasant one. Watch those stars, I guess, this is my lesson!

Food was mediocre and we kept getting rushed - to order food, drinks, dessert and leave because it was close to closing time. Poor experience overall.
