   Extremely enjoyable early dinner on a Wednesday. It was early and the restaurant was a bit quiet, but this did not affect service, or if anything made it even better. Our server/bartender (Nate) was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, but not hovering. We enjoyed the butternut squash purée/soup, empanadas, albóndigas and patatas bravas. 4 appetizer sized items were enough for 2 people. The empanadas were our favorite with complex delicious flavors. We could have done with less sauce on the patatas, the top half was to die for, but bottom half of fried potatoes were drowned in a mole like sauce and soggy. We selected a delicious Pinot Noir and it was 1/2 off by the bottle - score! We would definitely return.

   I sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic. Very attentive and made a an excellent drink. It was very crowded and loud evening and my food took longer than expected and the bartender was very gracious unlike other servers. I really hope the bartender gets credit for the tremendous service that he offered me.

   Recommend requesting server to pace service. Otherwise, tapas are delivered to table too quickly and without sufficient time to truly enjoy the meal and dinner conversation.

   This was our third time hoping the service would be better. She was nice but screwed up our check twice as well as our friends check. The same other people were still serving there who had issues last time too. If you are one of the front tables, which we always seem to be, there simply is not enough room so the servers bump into the back of your chair all the time. The poor couple behind us had folks passing by and stopping right next to them the whole time. There should be no table on that wall. The tight space and small room makes live music a terrible idea. Way too loud (can’t have conversation) and difficult to control vs their normal sound system music. Most tapas were good, their fryer went down so several choices unavailable, and several sauces were clearly made in pans where they had burned bacon and onions and it tainted the sauce so all you tasted was burnt whatever. After 3 years, they simply don’t have their act together which sucks. The staff thought there was no live music last night per their website but there they were. I tipped them cuz I’m a musician and they were doing their thing regardless. A few of the small plates were really good and the steak and asparagus entree was terrific. That being said, we’re not coming back and we gave them 3 open-minded chances. Bummer cuz the concept for a tapas place in Tacoma is so cool.

   We loved our first experience! Our only suggestion is to slow down the pace. Perhaps because wasn’t very busy in a Sunday evening they could easily get dishes out fast but definitely felt rushed. Other than that it was fabulous! We will be back.

   Food was delicious. I highly recommend ordering all of the tapas. Paella had a good amount of seafood and was very tasty

   If your going for food it ain’t worth it but if you want a good wine tasting place this is your place. It’s loud and okay had to wait a extra 45 minutes to get seated when I had a reservation

   I made a reservation 2 months prior to coming to Amor to have dinner and watch the flamenco dancing to celebrate my sister’s birthday. I had requested a table near the dance stage. Unfortunately we were seated side by side at the bar — no table and only a side/back view of the dancers through a doorway. The hostess was unapologetic and unhelpful about their mixup. The two men working in the bar did their best to help us have a nice time, which was appreciated. Overall, we were disappointed in our experience at Amor and won’t be coming back.

    Service was terrible. Food was unremarkable. (We are a party of four, three foodies and a professional chef). Took over 30 minutes to get served one drink at a time. We ordered “all the tapas”. Over two and a half hours we were served only five of the nine tapas we paid for. They were out of everything else. They gave us a petty $5 credit on the bill. We try to order additional food and they were literally out of everything but steak. Starved and ordered dessert. A half pear for $12. We reached out via email, twice, to give opportunity to make things right and never received a response. Really awful management and no professional integrity.
