Love going to the CIA. It's a student affair so mistakes happen. The lunch special at the American Bounty seemed a great deal. However if food is not what is expected, can be disappointing. The meals post Covid are smaller portions. Not a big deal when food is wonderful. The lamb luncheon was very disappointing. Ordered medium for shoulder & leg. The shoulder was a small portion of soft lamb well done. The leg pieces were overcooked and tough. I did nor send it back as my partner was eating and this would take a long time to resolve. He had the trout with soba noodles. It was served skin up. I suggest it be turned for a better presentation. The trout was well cooked and the miso sauce was needed. The ink infused noodles were okay but not my favorite. The desserts, as always, were fabulous. Service was extremely slow . Soup spoon was requested for the chickpea chowder soup. Bread needed to be replenshed after asking. The Bounty was packed . Reserved 12:15pm and left 2:45pm.

For the restaurant being run by students it was better than expected. The food was prepared properly and was very tasty.

It's always pleasant at American Bounty but today, for the first time, we had poor, extremely slow service.

The Culinary experience in cooking and presentation is unparalleled, and it's also a beautiful location. Considering that it is a teaching restaurant, with students at the culinary performing both back-of-the-house and front-of-the-house duties during a semester of learning, the experience may not be consistent. In our case, the front-of-the-house server was very inexperienced and failed to follow up with us as we were dining, refill drinks, provide the correct utensils for the courses we ordered, and generally keep the flow of service. This is not so much a negative as a teachable moment, and we were not upset. Be prepared, however, that this could happen.

It was a very interesting experience. The food was delicious but our server student was not great. He was very confused with our allergy customers and the meal took hours.

This was our first time here and it was my boyfriend 65th birthday. Our waiter Zachary was wonderful. This was his last semester and he was hoping to get a job in Boston and we wish him well. We had two tables by us and we got to chatting to both of them before we left. They had both been to CIA numerous times and made nice suggestions of a restaurant to try next I cannot say enough about this facility and next time I go we plan to stop by the egg yes we know what it is now thank you very much. The food was marvelous. The service spectacular, and everyone from the maître D to our waiter was fabulous.
