We’ve been to Memphis a bunch in the past and found Amelia Gene’s on a recent trip. I will always make a point to come here whenever I visit Memphis again. If you want an outstanding meal, great selection, and unbeatable service, you need to come here. It’s a classy but comfortable setting. Great music playing over speakers but not too loud to where you can’t have a conversation at the table. The building it’s in has been rebuilt from a 1800’s blacksmith’s foundry. Still has some old equipment to keep its heritage. It’s a must visit when you come to Memphis. We got the cheese cart, hummus starter, ravioli (more like onion soup in a lasagna noodle bowl, fabulous). Get the carrot cake! You won’t be disappointed!

The food and ambience and service were so great. All at our table said they can’t wait to bring their spouses back. We are all foodies, and the inventive dishes were all so delicious. Thank you!

Spectacular, as always. This place literally transports us as it does not feel like we are in Memphis. There are some amazing restaurants in Memphis each with their own set of accolades. However, Nate and the team at AG creates a dining experience in ambience, service and food...all at the highest standard of excellence. Last nights Features were Five Star. Oysters on an herbaceous sorbet with chili, ginger and curry. I can eat two dozen oysters like lighting. However, the AG oyster treatment somehow makes two all I need. I'm not sure how they knew what my favorite things are but oysters and foie gras are absolutely in the top five. They offered Foie Gras on a doughnut with an Endive slaw...absolutely award winning. Then, they brought in Live Scallops from Maine sliced them and served them on gnocchi...fluffy clouds of deliciousness. I've only seen live scallops in Venice. That's what I mean my AG transporting us away from Memphis. Antonio, our favorite server, is now a bartender. We gave up our table to sit with Antonio. It was GREAT!!! All the guest at the bar had at least one of the Featured items....all to rave reviews. From the menu we also had the Smoked Salmon Tartlette and the Lamb Pappardelle...both delightful in presentation and flavor profiles. We've always selected cheeses for our final course but last night was special. We went with the "famous" carrot cake. It is a huge step above any carrot cake we've ever had. We brought home one small sliver for breakfast....absolutely decadent. We love having Nate and AG just up the block from our loft. If we can stay up past 9 we'll be in soon for the IYKYK bar special.

This was our first time dining here and it was an amazing experience with fantastic food. The staff went over and above to wish my wife a happy birthday and Chef Nate wrote her a personalized card. Our server Miso was terrific. We were his first table of his first day and he was able to take care of us and knew the menu.

Tonight’s dinner at @ameliagenesmemphis was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was beautifully crafted and packed with flavor: ✨ Tempura Sweet Potato, Hummus, Chickpeas, Toasted Cumin – absolutely incredible. ✨ Ravioli, French Onion, Tête de Moine Brûlée, Chives – perfection in every bite. ✨ Half Rohan Duck, Kumquat, Butternut Squash, Endive, Natural Sauce – a standout main. ✨ And to finish? Sweet Potato Ice Cream – an unexpectedly divine treat. As amazing as the meal was, what truly stole the show was the restaurant itself. I’ve never dined in a more stunning space—the ambiance, design, and details were unforgettable. If you’re looking for exceptional food paired with breathtaking surroundings, Amelia Gene’s is a must. #CulinaryExperience #AmeliaGenes #FoodieLife #DinnerVibes #FineDining #RestaurantDesign #MemorableMeals #FoodAndAmbiance #RohanDuck #SweetPotatoLove #Foodstagram #manseekingfood

The food is AMAZING, and coming from a picky foodie-type, that says a lot. The chef kindly came to our table and graciously accepted our compliments. We had the sea bass which was perfectly cooked and the roasted carrot salad with arugula and toasted sesame seeds, a not-to-miss salad. The ambiance is romantic and the lighting of the bar area is beautiful. This restaurant is sure to become the #1 place to eat in Memphis, if it isn’t already.
