A throwback to the quintessential New York City dining experience of the 1930’s & 40’s, with a modern approach. Enjoy expertly curated wines, spirits and specialty cocktails.

Located in the heart of Westman Village in Mahogany, we are Calgary's favourite venue for live jazz, dancing, amazing food and drinks.

We are open Tuesday to Thursday at 5:00pm until late Friday to Sunday at 4:00pm to late with live entertainment every night. Come enjoy our Sunday Jazzy Brunch 10:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy our fabulous Happy Hour from Tuesday to Thursday 5:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday to Sunday 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

    Went for brunch with a friend and were served drinks quickly, but it went downhill from there. We both ordered waffles but were told they were out, so we switched to the poutine and short rib Benedict. It took nearly 1.5 hours to get our food, which arrived cold and barely edible. When we asked for an update, the server snapped and said she didn’t work in the kitchen. The manager did come out and comp our meal, which we appreciated, but instead of addressing the server’s attitude or the poor food, he seemed more sympathetic toward the server — something we overheard near the kitchen — rather than showing concern for the customer experience. I’ve been to Alvin’s many times when it was busier and never had such a poor experience. Sadly, we won’t be returning. We ended up going to Diner Deluxe afterward and had a fantastic brunch with excellent service — a much better way to end the day.

    Poor service, forgot items and took a while to get the server back. Didn’t love the cover charge so likely won’t be back for brunch.

    It was our first time at Alvin's Jazz Club and we enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back another time! The staff were friendly, the food was amazing and the band was fabulous!

    Went on April 5th for our anniversary dinner. Loved the band and were lucky enough that they played one of our fav song. Next time i will book from 8pm so we can watch the whole set. Parking is a challenge, it's either you pay or park along the road. Food is just ok but the ambience was great!

    It had been too long since my last Alvin’s outing.  I was quickly reminded how wonderfully they balance an elevated experience, superior service, and a premium menu without ever being stuffy or pretentious. Cass once again made our experience rise to higher standard. Always attentive and accommodating, she adapts to each table with poise and professionalism. Thanks, Cass!
