Join us in our intimate dining room of only 28 seats. We invite guests to relax in a space accented by reclaimed wood, — sourced from the oldest building in Denver — clay-inspired wall treatment, an abundance of plants that evoke the feeling of Mexico City, and artisan finds from Johnny’s home state of Guadalajara.

We were able to get in at the last moment and the experience was very memorable. Presentation, flavors and portions were perfect especially with the very reasonable pricing. We would go back in a heart beat if we lived in Denver.

Exquisite, from our drinks, to each course served family style, to our server it was an exquisite experience for our table of three. Age ranged from a 20, 30 and 50 year olds perspective. Might fast tomorrow just to let my soul absorb all the benefits of a meal prepared with so much love and dedication to craft.

Honestly, was very excited to try this place after it received a star but was unfortunately relatively disappointed. The restaurant “star” sweet potato dish was way over seasoned and covered in oil that covered the plate and somewhat ruined the taste and overall presentation. The emmolada de pollo was good but the tortilla was tough and somewhat hard on the bottom so it was difficult to cut even with the steak knife provided. Most of the food was tasty and had decent enough presentation and the service was good. That said, I will probably not be back until they dial the kitchen in and maintain a higher level or product consistency.
