The food was hands down very delicious, for a Saturday it was a pretty quite night. The service was great and couldn’t have been more satisfied to be able to have a meal without yelling across the table to be heard.

Small cozy place for a quite, high quality dining experience. I love Bistecca Fiorentina and have not eaten a better one in the continental US!!! I was truly surprised. Great appetizers, table side pasta was authentic. If not for English, I could have forgotten that I was in Midtown. Nol, the young man in charge of the floor was great! They sold out of the Fiorentinas when we came, but when I told him that I was looking forward to having it, he arranged for the steak to be delivered from their other location a few blocks away. Refreshing to experience this level of service in New York

The food and service were outstanding. It may seem minor, but the Caesar Salad done tableside was excellent. The main courses were outstanding. Minor caveat to that being the chicken special was just a little too much food for my wife, but if you are hungry it would not be a complaint. We were there a little early so the restaurant was not crowded, and therefore hard to judge the overall energy, but the room and table settings were elegant. I highly recommend Allora.

I don’t know where to start. First of all, there was a table of 15 guys screaming and yelling right next to us. The bread was stale, my friend who’s not a drinker asked for a cup of coffee it took 20 minutes to get it. the cream was sour so there was cottage cheese instead of milk and his Coffee took me 20 minutes to get a drink and then my godson had to go upfront and find someone to bring us our check. But I did tip over 20% but I will never go back there again.

Being gracious to the establishment, it appears restaurant week was mislabeled on Open Table saying both lunch and dinner prix fixe. However the restaurant only had one from 11 am - 5 pm. In any case we decided to stay and enjoy. The service was attentive yet detached, where I can understand giving diners privacy but (for example) we sat there for a bit without menus. The food was delivered in a timely manner, where we tried the rigatoni and the fish with shrimp and tomatoes. All in all it does feel like an old timey Manhattan timely restaurant, so choose accordingly.
