We are Allelo.

Our name comes from the word allelomimesis which is the phenomenon of a group, such as birds, coming together to form a flock.The idea of gathering is echoed throughout our menu where items are meant for sharing with friends.

Our dining room here at Allelo is very intimate with the majority of our tables being smaller than five guests. Please note that if your party is larger than 6 people, you will most likely be outside.
All outside tables have heaters and blankets available, but please dress warmly as nighttime temperatures can change suddenly.

$25 corkage per 750ml. We have a three bottle limit per table. We do have an extensive wine list with over 500 bottles of wine to choose from. Also, our in-house sommelier would love to make a recommendation for your table.

Chris and Chris make a dynamic bartenders duo. Real showmen and conversationalists. The bar has no TV (thank the heavens) which encourages yakking with the locals and regulars and outta-towners alike. (Also, the gorgeous, huge mural of local birds behind the bar was absolutely beautiful.) During our one dinner, which we methodically ordered one course at a time, we enjoyed conversations with two different sets of (faster-eating) diners on both our left and right sides. There was a lot of laughter and giggles and oohs and ahhs over the food. Our neighbors at the bar were proud to show off their orders and even offer nibbles. The cocktails were perfect and each course rose to a new height of deliciousness. Capped off with an amazing apple tart with a candle and glasses of freebie bubbly to celebrate our anniversary. Room for improvement: Not all the food came out hot from the kitchen. One pasta dish was practically lukewarm. Pro-tip ask your server to make sure your food comes out in a pre-heated bowl or plate. Our pasta was served hot in a cold pasta bowl, which totally dropped the temperature of the dish by the time it made it to our seats at the bar. (Chris, a battle-scared kitchen veteran, said it was because the runners had "soft hands" and couldn't take the heat. I think he was sorta, maybe joking? But still: each course was more delicious the the previous one, and more importantly, our date night was fun! We will make Allelo's gorgeous, scrumptious and neighborly bar a regular part of our restaurant rotation. Allelo definitely takes a tiny sting out of the oncoming horrors of tyranny.

Excellent food and service! We sat in the bar area, very comfortable. The shrimp, the meatballs and the chicken were all delicious! What a lovely evening.

For the second time in a month, we came to Allelo for their Sunday dinner special: a fixed menu with many of our favorites, served family style for $55 per person. Amazing, and frankly too much food (and we brought home four boxes). Delicious. Fantastic service, fabulous atmosphere. The most consistently exceptional dining experience in St. Pete

The small plates were wonderful, however, the two pasta disshes we ordered (duck confit and cacio e pepe) were soggy and overcooked. The duck confit pasta was swimming in WATER! UGH. Sent both dishes back, and server did compo them both. Beef kebobs were plentiful and saved the day in terms of dinner for 3. Management was resistant to request that the two tables in the back of the dining room lower their voices and stop shouting and screaming. One gentleman, who was very much "into his cups," even used the "f" word several times. Their raucous behavior really impacted our dining experience. Manager told us he "did not see them" acting loudly so could not do anything. REALLY? Something to keep in mind.
