   We very much enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Alara. The atmosphere was great. It is not a large restaurant/bar but very ample and not noisy at all even with an almost full room and open kitchen. The food was incredible and the wine selections very good. Service was great and the overall ambiance and vibe was awesome. Glad we found this little gem that is part of some others in the area like Clybourne in Mason OH. Highly recommend.

   Everything about Alara wowed us! One of my dearest friends was in town to visit and we are both foodies! I had heard great things about Alara from other friends, so we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did. The valet parking is so nice, especially since the weather was snowy the night we dined. The atmosphere is elegant and beautifully done. No detail was overlooked. The service was impeccable. Askia, our server, was delightful...so knowledgeable. Everything he suggested was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine to complement our dinner choices and that enhanced the meal even more. Portions are large and perfect for sharing. I took home quite a bit for leftovers which was a huge bonus. If you love beets, the beet and goat cheese salad is a must! For our entrees, we chose the Lobster & Butternut Squash Carbonara and Seared Sea Scallops with Brussels Sprouts & Butternut Squash as our vegetable side dish. All were exceptionally prepared. The Carbonara had a very generous amount of lobster so you got some in every bite! Askia recommended we save room for dessert, and I'm glad we did. We had the Creamsicle Cloud and Chocolate Espresso Torte. The Cloud was the most beautiful dessert I've ever seen and it was equally light and elegant. The Torte was beyond rich and decadent. The Prisoner bottle of wine was delicious with the entire meal, but especially that rich chocolate dessert. Cincinnati is fortunate to have some fabulous restaurants, and Alara is one of them. It is a must for a special occasion or an evening of pampered perfection.

   We love dining at Alara. The food and drinks are excellent and the servers are attentive and friendly. Alara has great ambience and many seating options for an intimate dinner or larger gathering.

   We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday and everything was wonderful at this restaurant. The staff was super, food was exceptional and the ambiance was exactly what we wanted for this special day!

   Very disappointed with service and availability of items in menu. The wine we ordered was not available. Asked manager what she could do and her response was order the bottle at double the cost. Zero attempt at service recovery. Took forever to get first round of drinks. Total let down for $1300 evening.

   Some Very special unique offerings for meal segments including small plates, share plates, salads, dessert. The service from Mikel (sp?) was outstanding! The ambiance is perfect! the Valet parking is necessary and great attendants make this even better!

   Food and service were excellent. Only complaint was the timing between courses was slow. But we thoroughly enjoyed our night and will return!

    3 for dinner, first time here. Beautiful decor, background music at a good level to allow conversation (except in the entry way, a bit loud). Alara promotes that there servings are large, made to be shared, which is fine if your tastes align with your dining companions. Wife and I shared the carpaccio which was ok, different preparation from most others we’ve had, actually, all their dishes seem to have their own twist compared to what is usually encountered at other establishments. We also shared a Caesar salad, pretty good but again different with some kale included. Also shared our entree again good but with its own twist. Our waiter seemed to be new, struggled a bit with things but very personable. We will probably give it another try, if you are a bit adventurous with your dining choices do give Alara a try.
