We have only two complaints, the seasonal (Christmas) Scotch Egg needed more seasoning, which was surprising because every other element was perfect. And we were kind of ignored at the end of our meal, we had to chase someone down for boxes and the bill and the attitude of the person we asked was a little… off… like we were an inconvenience.

Overall food is the best - love the combo of savory and dessert , not all tea experience offer that variety and its greater value . The downside is the service .. the food took like 20-30min to come out and our server never come by to see how are we doing if we need anything else

Very disappointing that the champagne option with the afternoon tea had been changed to Laurent Perrier when it had been promoted as Laurent Perrier Rose and I checked when booking. We went for the champagne option despite this but when ordering an additional glass of the rose champagne we wanted it was £30 a glass = £60 a little shocking!

Save your money and go somewhere else. I love afternoon tea and have tried lot of places, this one goes down as a waste of time. Food is ok but nothing more, not much flavours and all meat apart from salmon. Didn’t finish the scotch eggs or the roast beef? Sandwich. Had to ask for scones even though we were told they should “ be on the way” had to wait another 10 min. Scones were really big but unfortunately one was a bit undercooked. (Doughy) clotted cream tasted like butter. The highlight was the cheesecake which was delicious. A lot of staff and waiters/waitresses no one was attentive or even asked if we enjoyed the food. Staff running left and right and different waiters constantly. You don’t feel valued or even cared for at all apart from one lovely lady lady with glasses. When asked for the bill we had to wait another 5-10 min for someone to actually come and take payment. Again no thank you no bye no “how was your experience “ never experienced something like this. Nice decor yes but I rather spend my money somewhere else and enjoy the food and good service.

Beautiful setting apart from the man finishing off the Xmas install and moved around the floor on a ladder whilst restaurant was open!!! Very disappointing that to have one small roll changed there was £5 surcharge . Wasn’t offered more tea or clean plates/cutlery for the cakes. Food amazing staff friendly and polite
