Aberdeen Social House has great potential. A group of 4 friends dined with one vegetarian (me). Vegetarian options are very limited and I ended up ordering the Lobster Gnudi appetizer for an entree and a side of the Sunchokes Lyonnaise. The Lobster Gnudi was very salty (and I normally ask servers to bring a salt shaker for my food) - so much so that I couldn't finish it. The salt overpowered the other flavors in the dish, although the lobster pieces seemed tender. The sunchokes were heavy on the onions and light on the artichoke leaves - with the lyonnaise sauce unnoticeable. My friends ordered the corn chowder soup and cod entree, Tournedos Rossini and Prime Ribeye. They also got the Ash and Bibb & Blue salads. All said their food was good but not great. Entree portion sizes were generous. Service was friendly but the server seemed to be learning the menu and also how to serve in an upscale restaurant. With time he will be excellent, but he had to check notes to answer our questions about the menu, and timing of order-taking was a little too rushed. We wanted time to settle in and enjoy the drinks we ordered before ordering and had to ask him for a few minutes twice. The server refilling water interrupted our conversation to ask if we wanted refills instead of just silently refilling. Again, with time these service issues should be worked out, hopefully. We retreated to the bar after dinner and the drinks and service were great! So 5 stars for the bar and 3 for the restaurant.

Just okay. Was looking forward to trying this new place. The bartender Beau was the best thing this place had to offer. No background music, hostess gave our booth away while we were at the bar after telling us she would grab us once the other two in our party arrived. We asked her about it and she said “oh yes I did tell you that but I thought you would want to finish your drinks first”. Waiter didn’t speak English very well so couldn’t understand what he was trying to explain on the menu. Overall, just okay. Wouldn’t go back.

We started with cocktails which were very good and all had fun names. The food and the atmosphere were both wonderful. The space itself was quite beautiful. The food was delicious with a great blend of flavors, and was plated nicely. The dessert we ordered was quite tasty and very artistic looking for a banana cream pie! I will definitely go back.

Honestly, best pork chop in the entire city. It isnt even close. I would say Provision/Capris would be second place, but this thing is on a whole other level. Just delicious, tender, and creative spice blend that will get me to come back and order it again. Whoever came up with the dish deserves a raise
