   We had a wonderful experience at one of these restaurants in another location years ago and were excited to see one during our visit to San Diego. This is a very attractive place outside but it really didn't have as much of the rustic French countryside farmhouse vibe inside as we had seen elsewhere and not much ambience in general. The floors were sticky, the server was not very attentive to refill drinks during the meal, etc, although there were very few diners in that evening, and the food was very average and extremely expensive for what it was. I'm willing to believe that it might have had to do with being the day after Christmas and maybe the normal experience is better but ours was a disappointment, sorry to say. It was my birthday present.

   Over $100/person for Christmas dinner, buffet style, with really awful food. Ambiance was very nice though they left a door open so it was freezing. Service was terrible. Saw our waitress once.

   For the price the food was substandard, tough tri tip, salty crab legs (not sure how you do that) for that price they should have tender prime rib

   Made dinner reservations for Christmas Day unaware that it was a buffet dinner versus menu orders. Reservation was based on photos seen on Open Table and Yelp. The cost for two people (tip included) came out to $245.00. The meal was very disappointing. The meats were tri tip, turkey, and thin sliced ham. The tri tip was very tough, and disappointing. They could’ve had a carving station at the least for the price. All the food offered was subpar. Needless to say, I would not recommend this restaurant for the food or service. I applaud the fact that they were open for Christmas but the meal in itself as mentioned earlier was disappointing.

   We have been several times for Sunday brunch and that’s excellent. We went for Christmas and it was mid, not same quality or variety of food and at $100 per person not what we had expected. Plus as a party if 6, got charged 19% gratuity for a waitress was we barely saw! I don’t recommend for holidays for this reason.

   We went for the Christmas Day buffet. Overall the food was very good, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff as quite a few of the hot buffet serving dishes were low or empty. We did notice they were being refilled, but it didn’t seem like they could keep up. The variety of offerings was very extensive and the champagne was good. But for the $100 per person plus tax and tip it isn’t something I would probably do again.

   Nice family experience on Christmas Day. Very tasty and wide variety of holiday foods, salad bar, fruit and cereal bar for kids, soups, and extensive dessert bar. We really enjoyed the experience, food, AND not having to cook! You get a complimentary glass of champagne and a gift of small bottle to go!

   This place has so much potential to provide a better overall experience. I made an online reservation and even noted that it was my son’s birthday, but unfortunately, none of the staff seemed to be aware of this special occasion. I brought my own candle for his dessert, yet it was forgotten when the dessert was served. It also seemed like the restaurant was understaffed, which was surprising given that it was the last weekend before Christmas—a time when increased customer traffic should be expected. While the food quality was superb and absolutely deserving of praise, the service and lack of attention to detail left much to be desired. These issues, combined with the challenges of the location and staffing, could deter guests from returning or recommending this place to others. I truly hope that management takes this feedback to heart and implements changes to improve the experience. This place has all the potential to be a top-notch destination with just a few adjustments.

    9 of us had our Christmas lunch here and it was a buffet lunch. Seriously lots of different foods and it was wonderful.
