   Our Server Grant provided exceptional service. This was our second time there. The food was better the first time. We ordered the $95 lobster bites again. It seems like they would have benefited from fresher oil. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My wife’s steak was a little overdone. They did make a fresh filet. The Spinach was not as good as the first time. Every place can have an off night. They did give us a round of drinks on the house. Because of the service we would still give it another try.

   It was my Dads 70th birthday and we did pick the right steakhouse for the special occasion. From the moment we arrived, there was a valet parking that is so convenient specially during cold night of December. Our table is set with a nice touch of small cute birthday decor . Then our waiter for the night Jimmy introduce himself. The service is excellent, they will explain and answer your question regarding the menu. They don't rush you and want you to just enjoy the food and the whole dining experience. We didn't order dessert since we are really full but Jimmy did bring out a small dessert for my dad with 70th birthday written in chocolate. It was our very first time and will not be our last.

   The evening started out strong but that was about it. It was my birthday celebration and they did not give me the complimentary prosecco until we saw it on the check. They did not bring dessert with a candle until my husband said something after dessert and coffee were over. They brought the wrong bottle of wine. My daughter and I split a steak for dinner. They brought a filet mignon instead of ribeye and it definitely wasnt cooked to what we asked. We had to wait for them to cook the right cut and make to the right doneness. This was our first time at this restaurant. While the taste of the food was very good the service was not. It definitely was dissapointing for my birthday.

   Outstanding!!! As good as it gets. This restaurant upped the game in the world steakhouses (or if you’re English…chophouses). Competitors beware!!! The time for reinvention has come.

   It was our first visit and we were celebrating a birthday. From the moment we arrived the whole staff made sure it was a great experience. Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious

   Wonderful birthday experience. I had a wonderful time. The food and the service were excellent. I really like the ambiance and the attention to detail. It’s a must try.

   Very big fan of this place.. never disappointed and continue to enjoy each engagement. I like thinking I have the best kitchen in Tysons! Thanks to Noel and all the staff for creating a wonderful experience and place for everyone to enjoy.

   Excellent experience with two male colleagues. My boss enjoyed 801 while in Omaha, so we were anxious to see if his rave review translated to the franchise in DC. I'm happy to report that 801 lived up to the hype. This is new to the area and has only been open for a few months, so they are still going through some growing pains. was a little sloppy, and the maitre d tried to seat us at the bar ( making the suggestion more than once - I'm guessing because we were dressed fairly casually). Eventually, we were seated at a table in the bar area, which was fine, but louder than I preferred. The restaurant was not busy, and I took this as a slight. Luckily, a bunch of men don't really care, but if this had been a "date night" or special occasion, it could have gotten the evening off on the wrong foot. Our server was doubling as a bartender, again fine, but when the bar was busy, service lagged. She was friendly and knew the menu very well, made good recommendations, and paced the meal well. The steaks are the reason to visit, and we're exceptional. 801 doesn't rely on sauces, toppings, or butter to enhance the flavor ( although several options were available.) Just salt, pepper and get out of the way! Overall, highly recommended! I only hope that they muster enough business to survive the growing pains. I look forward to a return visit in 2025!

    Gave 801 Chophouse- Tysons Corner a try and candidly were disappointed overall in our experience. The ambiance is very nice and the service was excellent - which were really the highlights. Some of the food was good, some was disappointing. But, given the price of entrees and sides, the food honestly needs to be great. In addition, a not terribly fancy bourbon on the rocks was $50 per drink and a glass of red wine was also $50. The drink prices seemed well outside anything we would consider reasonable even at the nicest of restaurants. Right now we would say Capital Grille and The Palm have better food and drinks and at more reasonable pricing. We may give it one more try, but this may be a place for expense account dinners rather than just a nice night out with friends or family.
