   I’ve tried this restaurant twice. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is okay but the food is subpar. Never again.

   We had a wonderful evening! Ambiance was so festive and decorated beautifully for Christmas. We sat at the bar and David was out bartender/ server. He was attentive, knowledgeable, so friendly and engaging. The food was great. We shared a crab cake, my husband had Branzino and I the scallops. So well prepared. I would definitely recommend!

   A dinning room with lovely views of the water, a staff that pleasantly attends to every detail to ensure a well served meal and a kitchen that provides delicious food are what the 1606 Restaurant offers. We can’t wait to return.

   Beauport is the perfect place for a holiday celebration! It’s so beautifully decorated and festive, there is such a positive vibe and everyone is in such a happy mood! Jingle Bar was in full motion, love the relocation to the back of the lobby, so intimate and magical! We had dinner in 1606, needed a little more quiet time together and it was perfect! Our server was excellent, dinners were delicious (hard to choose next up with the new menu, cocktails, and food - so many great options! We all agree that a part of lobster bisque is the best around, including Boston! The burgers and pizzas are always a great choice, and scallops were delicious too! The restaurant, bar, lobby, and Jingle Bar wereall crowded, it was wonderful to see so many people out celebrating the holidays! The staffing was proportionate, never oh wait and the visibility of management ensuring everyone was being taken care of and enjoying themselves and the food or something. You don’t see everywhere! Also, it was nice to receive a personal check in from Chef Jon, wanting to be sure everything was as we liked it…and we loved everything! Looking forward to our friend event on Friday night, 14 of us will celebrate and enjoy a delicious and special meal together in the private dining room!

   A wonderful meal in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the entire place was decked out for the holidays. What more could one ask for?

   I haven’t been here in a long time but for our annual Holiday lunch we decided to come here instead of our stand by fav Seaport. The menu was very elevator in all kinds of interstate flavors. I got the crab and cod ramen and it was so good! Filled with bok choy, exotic mushrooms and the cod and crab was delish! Plenty of everything!  we got the curry cauliflower for appetizer, which is also filled a flavor, crunchy garlic, slivers in a chili oil! Service spot on! The screens got closed due to sun🤷🏻‍♀️. Definitely will be back !

   I wouldn’t recommend the mushroom gnocchi. The gnocchi was very over cooked and the sauce was barely present and dry. The popover with the cranberry butter was delicious

    While the wait staff was excellent, pleasant, very polite and attentive an A+, however, the food was disappointing. The entree menu is very limited to 5 fish dishes including Haddock baked of fried, duck, an overly brined "half chicken" ( my wife had it) that was more like a half Cornish Game hen, and three types of steak...including a $150 Tomahawk steak. So I just had a burger, it was fine after I scrapped off an excessively thick layer of "Tomato Jam" and unmelted cheddar cheese ..the side Ceaser that came with it was nearly unedible ..overly dressed, soggy, extremely cold and frankly unappealing. We live in Gloucester, and there are many good places to eat...this place needs to up their game. We've eaten at Beauport in the past, but this latest menu misses the mark.
