Indulge in coastal comfort & holiday fare brought to you by 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar at Beauport Hotel - join us for Christmas by the Sea Prix Fixe in our Main Dining Room! Starting with a complimentary welcome glass of bubbly, our Three Course Prix-Fixe Menu includes chef's holiday creations, such as Spiced Chestnut Bisque, Queen Cut Prime Rib, Halibut Oscar & Egg Nog Pot de Creme for $99 per person*. Seating begins at 12PM and last seating will be at 6:30PM. A children's menu is available for those 12 and under. Reservations with a credit card are required. Cancellations after December 18th at 9PM and no-shows will be subject to a $67 per person charge. *Price does not include MA State Tax and 20% gratuity.

A wonderful meal in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. The oysters were fresh and delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the entire place was decked out for the holidays. What more could one ask for?

I haven’t been here in a long time but for our annual Holiday lunch we decided to come here instead of our stand by fav Seaport. The menu was very elevator in all kinds of interstate flavors. I got the crab and cod ramen and it was so good! Filled with bok choy, exotic mushrooms and the cod and crab was delish! Plenty of everything! we got the curry cauliflower for appetizer, which is also filled a flavor, crunchy garlic, slivers in a chili oil! Service spot on! The screens got closed due to sun🤷🏻‍♀️. Definitely will be back !

I wouldn’t recommend the mushroom gnocchi. The gnocchi was very over cooked and the sauce was barely present and dry. The popover with the cranberry butter was delicious

While the wait staff was excellent, pleasant, very polite and attentive an A+, however, the food was disappointing. The entree menu is very limited to 5 fish dishes including Haddock baked of fried, duck, an overly brined "half chicken" ( my wife had it) that was more like a half Cornish Game hen, and three types of steak...including a $150 Tomahawk steak. So I just had a burger, it was fine after I scrapped off an excessively thick layer of "Tomato Jam" and unmelted cheddar cheese ..the side Ceaser that came with it was nearly unedible ..overly dressed, soggy, extremely cold and frankly unappealing. We live in Gloucester, and there are many good places to eat...this place needs to up their game. We've eaten at Beauport in the past, but this latest menu misses the mark.

Great place. My wife and I visit 1606, about 6 times per year. The service and food is always good. The restaurant is decorated tastefully with a Beautiful view of Gloucester harbor. Weather permitting, and last night was a bit too cold, the deck, complete with a gas fire pit and space heaters, provides a special Spot to eat, or enjoy a cocktail.

Our waitress, Vanessa, was the best! Food was served in beautiful presentation and just delicious! We weren’t rushed at all making our brunch most enjoyable.

We had a lovely dinner. Our dinners were prepared nicely, and the signature cocktails were fantastic. Our server was top notch, and even though it was busy, the noise level did not interfere with us being able to talk with each other. This was our first time dining here and we will definitely be back!

From the drinks to the food - everything was delicious at 1606! We shared quahogs and crab dip for appetizers and then shared the fish and chips and mac and cheese for dinner. We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time! Our waiter was friendly, attentive and efficient. It was our first time dining here and we will be back.
