   My rating is based on the fact that I expect more from a fine-dining experience. Our server kept disappearing although there were not a lot of guests and the server to table ratio was small. I believe she only had 2 tables she was responsible for (ours and another). My husband's walleye was cold - in which the response by the server was that it was sous vide to 42C. Perhaps that is the case, but when it was brough to the table, I guarantee that it was not 42C and also the sides that came with the walleye were also lukewarm. For a >$40 dish, I expect more. I would also not recommend the charcuterie. It resembled that of a grocery store version - complete with Lesley Rowe Raincost crisps. Again, as a restaurant and hotel that purports a fine dining experience - complete with prices to match, it definitely was not. The only item I would recommend is the mushroom sphaghetti.

   We love this opportunity through the winter for locals. I recommend reserving your table early and come with a lot of patience. The setting is a bit crowded with more than one pinch point when serving your self. The food is worth it and the service as always is well orchestrated and attentive.

   Unfortunately was looking forward to this dinner and it did not live up to the expectations. The food ( bison burger and chicken) were both dry. Struggled to eat the meal ( both me and my date) while drinking several glasses of water. Then there was a strong cold draft blowing across the table. It made it uncomfortable. Lastly the live entertainment at the front of the restaurant was not audible at the back of the restaurant.

   Our server was amazing, very friendly and attentive, the food was absolutely incredible (so delicious) and the chefs making the pasta were so wonderful to interact with too. I wished I had more space to try more of the food. It was 10/10 experience and definitely worth the money.

   We heard about the Primrose Wine & Pasta Night from our son who had been at Christmas with work and raved about the food. We booked our table before we arrived in Banff to avoid disappointment. The location and the restaurant itself were lovely. We were greeted and taken to our table and as first timers provided with the locations of the food stations etc. the food on the self serve was good quality, well presented and delicious. The chefs creating the pasta dish from your chosen ingredients were masters and it was mesmerising to watch them cooking multiple dishes. All in all a 5⭐️ experience and will definitely return when we come again.

   Nice experience. The food was very good. Scallop Appetizer had some unique flavors. Our Mains: Duck and Lamb dishes were very good. The only negative we have, is we did not get any vegetables with our mains? So the lamb dish was the lamb shank on top of mashed potatoes/gravy (I substituted mashed instead of risotto). Same went for the Duck. We looked at the menu after to see if we missed some sort of ala cart for vegetables. For the price I would have expected a nice vegetable. The Waite staff were very good & attentive.

    We visited the Primrose restaurant at the Rimrock Hotel for their Wednesday Pasta Night, and we were blown away. With friends, we enjoyed filling a bowl with our favorite proteins and vegetables, which a chef cooked right in front of us, making the experience interactive and personalized. The charcuterie, salad, and dessert buffet was spectacular, and the service from Riley was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend this themed night for anyone looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and a touch of fun. We will definitely be back!
