Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for over a decade, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves tasty omelettes, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

I loved the food - scallops and halibut were great. The service was a bit slow but for us it didn't matter as much. It was lovely to have live piano music. It gets a little noisy as the venue is quite small

The 2 course lunch/dinner menu is very good value & the food is great. Despite being packed, the service was excellent - no waiting & the staff were friendly even though they were obviously really busy. Have been a couple of times before and have always enjoyed both the food and the experience.

Fixed menu is a nice idea and reasonably priced. No shortage of choice, though - the menu is varied and the quality very high. Only reservation: it's quite a tight space and pretty noisy.

Small buzzy bistro with great food, very good value, and attentive service. Will definitely go back.

The food and vibe were great. It can get very noisy but that depends on who is on the tables around you, the tables are very close together so it does get cosy, but it didn’t ruin our lunch. We had a mixture of French onion soup, mussels in garlic butter, pig cheeks and goats cheese salad for starters and everyone enjoyed them. We all had entrecôte steaks with fries and salad which were good also.

I have been here several times now, always the same - lovely friendly staff, gorgeous food and a wonderful atmosphere. It feels like a combination of being at a friends house / on holiday in a charming sidestreet - even though the mayhem of Soho is just a few feet away. I met a friend I have not seen in c10 years - we got lost in conversation and ended up staying 3h - not once were we made to feel we had stayed too long (which we clearly had). Simply wonderful experience. I have also booked for December meeting 4 friends I have not seen in 15 years - because I know it will be fabulous

First visit - loved the whole experience. Food was delish - nice size portions for lunch. We were three girlfriends on a catch up lunch. Asked for a pause between starter and main, waiter came back after a bit and asked if we were ready - this worked very well for us. Will be booking again in the next few weeks.

Excellent bistro classics and very decent value, when you consider you’re in the middle of London. Very convivial atmosphere and jam packed on a Thursday evening but despite that, the food was beautifully presented and the service was fast. I highly recommend it but make sure you book in advance.
