- JJonathanWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoGreat food. Great waiter… they were out of the bottle of wine we wanted, he suggested another that was really good and half the price.More infoThe KnickPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Milwaukee•4.7

We sat at the chef’s counter and really enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. It’s easy to see why Chef Knall is a 2025 James Beard nominee for best Chef Midwest. The GM at Birch is so personable and acknowledges us on every visit. It’s no wonder his staff is so helpful and courteous. We dined early as snow was predicted and staff were ready and waiting to serve a delicious meal - made to order as far as spicy or not so . . . The choices were great, but not overwhelming as some restaurants can do and I find a big mistake. The waitress helped with what to order and they got everything right. They have good non-alcoholic choices ie mango drinks etc and naan and sauces and all the fine smells and tastes of India. We were happy with everything - the only and always problem: PARKING!!! not their fault. Mary and Rudy Ralian - and we will be back. Five star dining and service. Thank you!!!More infoMaharajaPrice: Moderate• Indian• Milwaukee•4.5
