Best Global Restaurants in Bucktown / Wicker Park

The food here is amazing!! We order the avocado dip, chorizo queso dip, salchipapas, goat empanadas, salmon ceviche, and steak saltado! Everything was delicious, food exceeded expectations. The ambience and service was great! I felt transported to somewhere warm and out of wintery chicago.

We got the chef's counter experience. We were seated at a counter on high chairs looking into the kitchen as they were preparing the food for the restaurant. They worked as a well oiled machine. Tue Chef/Owner was there working at the pass finishing dishes. He helped to serve us and explain the dishes. The food was excellent. There were different textural elements along with complimentary and contrasting flavors. Everything was seasoned to perfection. We got the optional wine paring with it, and unfortunately, the waitress that was serving our drinks was a little slow at one point and we didn't get the wine that was intended to go with a dish until after that course. Fortunately, it was a reisling so sipping on it between courses was enjoyable. Overall it was a stellar experience that I would definitely recommend amd I will definitely be going back to Bloom.

Proxi's food is not only outstanding but memorable. It is rare to experience such a level of care and quality. We are grateful to have such a restaurant in Chicago.

The server was great and very chill, can tell was very happy to be doing what she was doing.
