I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value.     It was our first visit to Medi-Bistro but will not be our last. We were a group of 11 for lunch on a Sunday and found it to be a delightful choice. Its central location in downtown White Plains with free parking in the garage made it very convenient. The ambiance is lovely—upscale but not stuffy. The food was amazing!! The stuffed vine leaves were a notch above the usual thanks to the pomegranate sauce, the grilled shrimp were excellent as were the hummus and the smoked eggplant spread. We tried a variety of main courses from chicken kabobs and lamb kabobs to roasted salmon and several stews—everything was excellent! At that point, we were pretty stuffed but we got several plates of baklava with Persian ice cream to share and were so glad we did!

    Everything about our dining experience was top notch. Especially enjoyed tempura and beet salad as appetizers and pork dish as main entree. Service was excellent, very attentive and generous. One of the best restaurants in Westchester.
