All of the entrees were excellent; my wife and one of our friends had the burger, and both were raving about the burger. My other friend had the salmon... and absolutely cleaned his plate! I had the Dover sole, and in all honesty, it was just as flavorful and well-prepared as the same dish I had at a Michelin three star restaurant, but at around half the cost! This is a treasure waiting for you to find; trust me: it is truly worth it to do so!More infoThe Whitby Bar and RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Midtown West•4.7
- BBethNew York City •8 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoAbsolutely delicious drinks and food, with great service. We were on our mini honeymoon & requested to sit by the window. They were able to accommodate our request. The severs were knowledgeable and went out of their way to educate us about the gins in our drinks. I think one of their names was Eva or close to it? She was incredible. She recommended excellent gin cocktails based on me and my husband’s preferences. I normally don’t like gin, but both drinks were incredible. She even brought the bottles to the table for us to take pictures of. The food was mostly great. We ordered 4 tapas and shared them: truffle fries, the octopus, calamari, and tuna tartar. The octopus was a little cold and I didn’t love the croquets but that was just my opinion. The tuna was SO GOOD and so were the fries and calamari. I don’t love wasabi and was worried about the wasabi caviar but it was so subtle that it was enjoyable and not overpowering. I’d love to go back!!! It’s a must-try while you’re in the city. It also has a speakeasy in the back - I found out after we left so I didn’t get to try it lolMore infoThe Ivory PeacockPrice: Moderate• International• Chelsea•4.4
