- SSebastienOttawa •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoFood and service were superbe, but the music could be too lound for some custumers. I was also surprised there were no "little" something for my wife's anniversary. We will be returning to this location, I highly recommend it.More infoErling's VarietyPrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• The Glebe•4.7

- NNadiaOttawa •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024I applaud de concept, it is very good. Our party enjoyed the evening and found the over all experience to be exceptional. Atmosphere was 10/10! Service was 10/10 - I have no notes. They are friendly, casual, charming, ...I am running out of adjectives but they are so very very pleasant and worth an extra 10% tip to the normal tipping convention. We chose the "small plates" - confirmed they are generous and yes you can trust the waiting staff. The plates of kangaroo tatar, the creamy onion soup with focaccia where exquisit. One of my party members also greatly enjoyed the orange roughy ballotine - however the tapioca tile was hard enough to corrupt a crown. As a person without any artificial dental interventions I can also attest that it was inedible, I hope they can create a tapioca lace with pearls having a styrofoam or lighter consistency. Roasted squash risotto - lobster tail ect... nice flavours, is good - but meh. It is not very impressive. Beef flank steak - salsa macha.... yeah again "interesting" and it is good - but underwhelming for 31$. I had the crab ravioli - I will not order it again. Looked amazing but lacked flavour and well maybe this was a test run,as I can see it is not on the online menu. Bisque base - good idea! But the ravioli lacked flavour and contrasting elements in the overall dish, the texture of the food as a mouth feel - nope, no good - I do not like. It should have been a crab cake or reinterpretation of crab tempura style dumpling. Now that - would have been cool and addictive or crave worth - "yes - more please". Which I imagine is the idea and following chefs try to create. We will likely visit again, the experience is well worth having! I thoroughly encourage it. Next time I think we will explore the "discovery" menu or experience. Many thanks!More infoAntonymePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Gatineau•4.7
