Food was amazing! The waitress recommended the eel hand roll and it was our favorite. Every dish was delicious and full of flavors. The drinks were very good as well. They gave us a free edamame appetizer for having to wait but it was all well worth it. Very cozy and intimate setting. Best seafood and sushi I’ve had in the city. Highly recommend.

Once again the most amazing meal and experience at Otaru. A beautiful atmosphere (you can’t beat the view of the rivers) and great service. The food is just incredible and the portions are filling. We got the Pork Bao Buns that come with a delicious sauce, Wagyu appetizer, a variety of hand rolls with the freshest tuna we’ve ever had, and the Miso Black Cod that was incredibly flakey and came with a surprisingly well-paired slightly sweet pumpkin purée. We finished our night with some plum wine. If you’re thinking about Otaru, just do it. You absolutely won’t regret it!

We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was thoughtful, the drinks were creative, the service was attentive, and the ambience was electric as a result.
