The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize.     We visited Manny’s three days in a row and are not even staying at The W! We had lunch twice and were so impressed that we’re having dinner tonight!!! The food was outstanding, and the service was top top notch! Kudos to our busboy Louis, one of the hardest working people I have met, and our waiter Jorge and waitress Catherine! All of these staff members were very hardworking, professional and friendly and made our experience exceptional. Kudos also to the manager on duty Greg Williams for helping us secure our dinner reservations and appreciating our comments.

    Four people--three meal choices: the short ribs, the filet mignon, and the walleye dinner. All were outstanding. The ribs and the filet mignon were tender and flavorful, as was the walleye for which the Inn is known. We each had a cocktail and were very satisfied--no scrimping with the alcohol, which was nice. Sue, our waitress, was top-notch--I think she's been there for years so she is very experienced. No dessert for us although the choices looked yummy. Lake Elmo Inn is a special place and worth the trip there, for sure.

    Relaxing, intimate atmosphere. Very wide variety of steak and seafood entree options with great sides. Both the steak and Lobster we had were excellent and complementary slice of birthday cake was an unexpected bonus.

    We received a gift card for Christmas and saved it for our anniversary dinner. Everything about the experience was exceptional. The staff was welcoming and gracious and our server, Henry, was an absolute joy. We each had a cocktail and shared the nachos for an appetizer. I'm not normally one to gush over nachos but OH! were they delicious. I'd eat those 100 times. I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked; my husband had the sturgeon which was also perfect. We ended the dinner with a surprise dessert in honor of our anniversary. All in all, it was pricey but worth it for a special occasion. We'll definitely go back.
