Welcome to the Cliff Hotel in Gorleston-On Sea, a hotel and restaurant with unrivalled views of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast. The Cliff Hotel dates back to 1890 when the original hotel was opened, in 1915 the building was ravaged by fire and demolished. The old staff accommodation was renovated into a new hotel, the building that we currently occupy today. We have a vast selection of dining options from our relaxed art-deco inspired MUSE restaurant, our vibrant bar dining area or one of the biggest outside dining terraces in Norfolk. Wherever you decide to eat our menus will give you a huge variety of choice from fresh fish to steaks and grills. Alternatively we have lighter snacks and a range of classic dishes to delight all tastes. Why not join us for a traditional Sunday roast or a quintessentially British afternoon tea? Our food is prepared in our kitchens to ensure the best quality and taste reaches your table. We look forward to welcoming you.

The service was polite, friendly and professional as always. My friend and I had a pot of tea each. I enjoyed cheese scones with a delicious apple chutney and wedge of chesse. My friend had an enormous slice of carrot cake which she delcared moist and extremely tasty. The general ambience and decor is wonderful, esepcially beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. The Assembly House Hotel recently catered for a gathering to celebrate my late mother's life. Again the service and attention to detail was just wonderful. The food was delicious and we were extremely well looked after. I would thoroughly recommend The Assembly House for any occasion. You will not be disappointed.

The Bar at the Cliff has had another refurbishment and looks amazing, gorgeous gold & teal colours. As always, the view is spectacular though it did take me a while to convince my fellow diners that we were looking across at Great Yarmouth Port! Having reserved a table we were seated immediately and our orders taken promptly, efficiently and politely. The food was great (only negative was a little heavy handedness with the salt on a couple of the dishes). Generous portions, piping hot and, as for the puddings, seriously yummy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very impressed- thank you.
