- PPamLancashire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoAll the food was fab. Cumberland sausage, Brisket with pearl onion and red wine stew, steak burger, chicken burger were all great as were the sides - all spot on with clean plates. The staff were very welcoming, our 1 and 2 year old loved their pizza and chips and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Thank you for a lovely afternoon ! Plus the cost for the meals including drinks was very reasonable 😊More infoThe RoyalPrice: Moderate• Pub• Bolton-le-Sands•4.6
- AACumbria •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoAfter the soup, I chose the beef roast. A good choice as the food was fantastic. The portions were very generous - so much so, I failed to eat it all! ( I should have gone for the small roast beef and left some room for dessert) A varied menu with the expected options, plus some more unusual dishes available. The service was efficient without being intrusive or hurried. All in all, a most enjoyable evening in a cosy setting. Thanks to the friendly staff and, although I am not local, I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back.More infoCrooklands Hotel - the restaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Kendal•4.7

Fear not, when the food arrives you realise the quality of the food is on another level. Had a steak and ale pot pie and if its not the best pie I've ever eaten its definitely in the top 3. My Mother had the chicken supreme which was presented beautifully and apparently was excellent. The pub itself is lovely, lighting prefect, service exceptional. There was a fine dining event on later in the evening and was set up in the dining room which is also very tastefully done. With the masterchef winning chef in the kitchen I expected it to be good but it exceeded my expectations.More infoThe Black BullPrice: Moderate• British• Blackburn•4.6
